Hey everyone,

This looks like a cool community. Just got Dissidia, totally addicted. Love it. Besides my personal bias towards FF, I truly think Dissidia deserves at the very least PSP game of the year. All the features and extras they put in..come on.

Anyway, Lacher_Mann and I are buds, we just started using Ad Hoc Party through PS3 to play. Been having some issues with it, which will bring me to my second post.

Also, I'm christian, under no denomination. I believe in God, Jesus, don't believe in hell or an ambiguous number of people going to heaven. It was sad to see the way the religion thread panned out, I've been in a few communities and two of them had really cool religion threads that were respectful and interesting. It's something that takes the top place in my life, so I thought I'd share it right off the bat. But yea, I definitely don't push my faith on anyone. I just love talking respectfully about it. I look forward to another one opening up sometime.

So, I haven't been in a community for a couple years and this one looks great. How's everyone?

Welcome to the forums, man!
Please... Despite how nice and respectful you seem... Please don't post a religion topic. And that's all I'm gonna say about that.

On a lighter note, glad to have you on board, and looking forward to some good things form you in the future!

Well, we just had a religion thread and it was closed because it was basically one guy trying to push his faith on everyone else

Other than that, Welcome to the forums :D

Hello OneWing! And welcome to the Dissidia Forums! Here’s some advice on how to get started and where to find some useful information.

Advice Number One: Be sure to read the Forum Rules (http://dissidiaforums.com/showthread.php?t=145) and Thread Hijacking and Derailment (http://dissidiaforums.com/showthread.php?t=613) post.

Advice Number Two: If you’re looking for information regarding your character (or any other characters) be sure to visit the Character Discussion (http://dissidiaforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9 ) board. If you post or visit here, you’ll find answers that are much more specialized than the ones given in the Dissidia Discussion Board.

Advice Three: The people of importance on the forums (in terms of power) have colored names. Orange stands for the Site Administrator, Red for the Global Moderator, Green for the normal Moderator, and Blue for the Community Leader. They have occasionally been known to do strange things, including jumping on introduction threads, randomly answering a thread, or even starting new ones. But generally they tend to be harmless forumites just like the rest of us, except when they address you directly or PM you. But since you’ve already visited the Forum Rules you should already know this. :3

Advice Four: If for some reason you do not have anyone to game with within your area don’t fret! Instead you can invest in a PS3 (http://dissidiaforums.com/showthread.php?t=309 ) (Ad-Hoc) or learn how to use the X-Link Kai (http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5649 ). Hopefully the links provided are useful in solving any questions that you have concerning either medium. If not feel free to ask your fellow forumers. :3

Advice Five: And if you have any other questions concerning the current state of the site or are having difficulties with the site, please visit the Announcement Board (http://dissidiaforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2 ) or the Support Board (http://dissidiaforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3 ).

Advice Six: If you are an Role-Player and would like to join our recently constructed Role Playing (http://dissidiaforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=88) board, please feel free to. But remember that you must follow all of the rules stated in the Forum Rules thread in addition to the rules found in the individual threads. If you are unsure of how to Role-Play or don't know what Role-Playing is, feel free to use this guide (http://www.onrpg.com/boards/93148.html).

Advice Seven: When participating in a debate; intelligent, constructive responses and civility are of the utmost importance. Please remember (and keep in mind) that every individual is entitled to their own opinion, no matter how much you may disagree with it, and should be allowed to retain it. I humbly ask that you please visit TAP's Etiquette Guidelines (http://theacademyproject.com/faq.php?faq=terms) before participating in such a topic.

Advice Eight: Watch out for _Tidus_ and Kumo. If you happen to run into them you will be forced to share all of your personal information with them or risk the chance of them using the Void to stalk you forever. D:

Currently we are in the process of hosting a tournament. So if you would like to watch the replays saved by the contestants then you may find them here (http://dissidiaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1021). So…that’s about it! Good luck and have fun!

P.S.
The majority of this message has been copied and pasted on other introduction threads. You have now received the Canned Azazerian Greeting (which has been been based off of the Canned Jonderese Newbie Advice).

I'm christian.

Same. I Personally stay clear of the religion threads if I see any. Had a habit about one guy on a forum I ran who liked to start stuff. Heh...

Anyway, hope you and I can battle some. I've had Dissidia for a while now, but as my intro says... I've been off it a while, anyway I'm back on it. Maybe we can help each other get better at it.

Thanks all :) yea, no worries I'm not starting a religion topic, just hoping a reasonable one appears in the future.

Looking forward to playing all of you! I didn't even think of that lol.

If ever I'm playing Dissidia it'll be in world D lobby 15, or whatever lobby has more players from the USA, in worlds D and F.

Hi OneWing I would not mention that you are a Christian here, also why do you not believe in Hell? Jesus mentioned it in revelations it is called the lake of fire it is where everyone goes who has not had their names written in the book of life. Be careful talking about religion around here lots of disrespectful atheists that will attack you, just warning ya. Welcome brother!

I'm sorry Rar but I agree with the rest of them. You need to stop insulting others or at least thinking that your opinion is the rightful one. We're all allowed to view things the way we want and under no circumstances should someone be telling us what to think.

We don't hate religion or anything like that but it'd be nice if you weren't so hostile about what we believe in.

ANYWAY! Welcome to the forums! The land of the awesome! 8D I hope you enjoy your stay here, you'll find a heap of information that'll help you if you need it annnnnd the people here are wonderful!

I'm Christian myself but don't uphold faith x3 still.. if God was real, it'd be cool to meet him. I've always wondered what he'd say XD

lol. It's cool with me if they do, as long as I stay respectful it's up to God what happens to them, not me.

Welcome brother.

Thanks :)

lol yea I saw the hot springs reference in the religion thread.

Well, to be fair, and since it is my intro thread, I will answer the question. I don't believe in hell because of certain translations of the bible. There's this different angle on the "hell" Jesus referred to, which you're referring to. That is, rather than "hell" or anything of the like, it's called Gehenna. Long story short, it's a symbolic reference, very similar to the parables of Jesus.

Please don't quote me on that, I'm ashamed to admit I haven't studied deeply on the main doctrinal topics in at least a year and a half. That's what's currently in my mind as I type this, but I do not remember exactly what I've learned about it in the past. Made much more sense to me, since I view God as loving and patient with each individual, and that he allows suffering for certain people..

Okay sorry I'll stop there. To summarize, that's why, though I'm not certain if my memory serves me correctly.

I'll move on to a separate topic now though so, lol thanks everyone. Gotta say, all very cool people. See you on the forum!

I've always expected God to act like the one depicted in Farside.
