New Golbez Infinite

Discovered by a friend of mine.
At first we thought it only works near the ground because of landing lag but it actually works in the air also but the timing is really strict. The infinite shown in these videos is Float System -> Float System near the ground but he can also do Gravity System -> Gravity System OR Float System -> Gravity System -> Float System -> Repeat.

This also opens up possibilities for new Golbez combos also

I've been giving this a try to see it's results as combo filler. Since it seems to work close to the ground, it seems like a good additional link to the (Assault System ->) Glare Hand -> Float System -> Cosmic Ray combo. I seem to be getting it fairly consistently on CPU Cloud and Tidus.

So the combo I did was (Assault System ->) Glare Hand -> Float System -> Gravity System -> Cosmic Ray.

It definately doesn't work on the Rise Wave -> Float System combo due to it being too high off the ground.

This might be kinda pointing out the obvious though.

I guess I'm just kind of surprised that this hasn't generated a little more discussion and testing, is all, so I'm trying to get the ball rolling again.

Can you put up any vids, just to get an idea of how strict that timing is? Because any move that adds more Sneak Attack crits to his combos can only be good.

EDIT: Yeah, I managed to get it to work on the Rise Wave -> Float System combo once when I was fooling around today before my tutorial. Haven't had time to really give it a go, though, so I'll see if I can get it consistently.

Turn dodge cancel, I think it is. It's like the bastard son of side dodge cancel and return dodge cancel. Basically you dodge out, and then swing off to the side. Like...

What your supposed to do it delay the part of Rise Wave where it pushes them into the wave then do Glare Hand ASAP. It doesn't seem to always work in the English version but worked 100% in the JP version (I had my doubts for a while but then tried it out myself and was surprised). I actually got pretty lucky and pulled it off in the video lol

While playing AHP with Xeltos earlier, I discovered that the Glare Hand -> FDC -> Float System -> DC -> Gravity System leaves enough time for Ultimecia to either block or dodge away between the double systems. Maybe a Return DC or TDC is needed against Ultimecia for this combo to be effective.

I think you do need a TDC for it to work. Try mashing circle as fast as you can too xD

Avoid it o_o She can just snipe you down if you want, and with almost no recovery time on her BP attacks its gonna be hard. If he stays near the ground then Glare Hand/ Ambush system him down

If you watch the Onion Knight one you can tell I was clearly trying to dodge the whole time. The other ones I could not escape it because of landing lag

I did some testing with this infinte.....
It really works great and it´s not too hard to pull of when using a neutral dodge cancel.
I really like the combo Glare hand-Float system-Float system-Float system (Float system until I´m out of ground xD)

But, I practised, tested, and practised again until I noticed that this infinite does not work with Kefka either....... The reason is the same as with union knight: Golbez´s first slap does not hit him. I should put that into your first post, if I were you.....

It's VERY TOUGH to pull this off in the air. You need to DODGE IMMEDIATELY using Return Dodge. Which is hard. Best way to pull this off is to repeatedly use float systems on a grounded opponent so he cycles through landing lag.

Move the camera so that you can control how you RDC better :P It's easier, for example, to move the analog stick towards you then back, than say, right to left.
