Hey everyone
I have a girl that I like that really loves anime, and I was wondering if anyone out there who can draw in that style would be able to draw a picture of her.
I'll send a picture to those of you who think you can do this for me.
I'm not sure how I could repay someone for doing this, but it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Cruel

Which style are you looking for, exactly? What is her favorite series?

She says that Kanon is her favorite series. She also likes "Ghost hunt" and "Angel Beats"(she is so much like Yurippe)
Should I send you a picture of her? I'd like one to look like her. She's an amazing girl and she deserves something like this, I only wish I could draw.

I don't know about anyone else, but in my opinion, I would tell you not to do this. As a friend or a stranger offering help, I suggest not this.
First of all, if she even asks who drew it, which is inevitable, the truth is that you gave a picture of her to some guy on the internet.
Second of all, some people would think it's really creepy if you gave her an anime version of herself, assuming it's trying to be romantic. You might be fine if it were your girlfriend, but this isn't the case.
But after all this, this is just basing from what you have said, I don't know your current situation nor your situation with her, so I might be completely wrong.
If I am completely wrong, it's a sweet idea and she might genuinely like it.

A "friend" will draw it.
Also, I pretty much know that I won't be going out with her, so it's a nice thing that I can do for her as a friend.
Although that is a good point about the giving of her picture out on the internet.
I'll take your advice on this one. It was a nice idea, but now that I rethink it, it's not a good idea putting it on the internet.
Thanks anyways.
I might just have to work on my drawing skills :p

The whole "I'm afraid to provide a pic of her to a random guy from the Internet" is disingenuous to a point it's now hard to take your stance seriously, moreover if she has a Facebook account.
Talented artists taking this kind of commissions exist mind you, I stopped counting them on DeviantART. They are professionals, not some sick stalker pedos seeking material to fap on, geez.

That's still a surprisingly common demographic among the artists of DA :P

Except for the fact of distributing pictures of people without their consent is usually illegal, which means that he would have to get consent which ruins the whole thing.

The deed is done, anyway. Thanks for the vector art, Cruel, but you have to understand I ought to call the cops now and provide them your IP.

Actually, from what I remember, that's entirely dependent upon the location, intent, and representation. So long as you've taken the picture in or along public property, are not using it for defamation, incitation of violence, and so on, and do not belong to certain organizations...it's typically fine (but must meet all three). Of course, if an individual pictured in the photo ever finds it and requests for the image to be taken down, not doing so can get you arrested.
If you want to get into more specific criteria and usages though...I'd have to do more footwork.
[Edit]
School grounds do not count towards meeting the public property section. Just to let you know.

I'm taking this as a dismissal of the offer, which makes this topic useless.
