For a short while If you want to join any of the Dissidia Forums IRC Channels, you must register a name.
This is due to IRCHighway and several channels being spammed at this current time. This is sadly including #Dissidia.
Hopefully this will only be temporary.

The commands are all that matter. It works on all IRC clients, as far as I know.

It is such a pain now to connect to the irc... I'd really rather not have to enter that stupid...
/msg nickserv identify password
/join #dissidia
...Every time. ircHighway better fix their problem.

IMO, it's not even worth it because everyone's always AFK and when people DO actually talk, half the time it's disjointed nonsense.

It only helps a little, but if you use an IRC client you can make a script where you can just type /d or whatever, and the IRC will do whatever it's scripted (ex: /login for your password). Of course, you're using webchat IIRC, so this is probably useless for you.
Oh, also, I haven't seen anything happen for a while on the channel. Maybe it stopped?

Guys, a shorter way to login is typing /ns id password

I've been on and off for a few weeks, but never see anything beyond people signing in or leaving. What happened to the irc? It's more dead than it usually is...
Also, thanks Kayarine. I also found /j #dissidia works as well to further shorten it.

What happened to the IRC? That's a tough one to answer...but mostly, people lost interest in #Dissidia and now go to #DDFFCasual to talk. Even SteZiL and Cross go there, and they don't even play the game lol.

I can't speak for any other IRC clients, but on mIRC you can actually change some options that allow you to enter commands that are used automatically on connect (for example, I have my mIRC set so that it automatically enters /identify password and /hs on as soon as I connect). There is also an auto-join channel on connect option.
This is a slightly easy option that making a script lol.
