(You just take a piece of bacon, cook it, remove the grease, then pour pancake batter around it and cook the pancake like normal)

It's all about balance. Almost any credible fitness advisor will actually tell you to have 5-6 strict to very strictly scheduled days in terms of diet followed by one "eat whatever (and I mean whatever) your body craves". The idea is that you won't break your routine because you have that one day to look forward to in case you've been having an especially notable craving AND it actually throws your body off balance to speak and makes your workout regimen more effective. It's actually counter-productive to keep your body on a strict schedule (will level off your metabolism for example and you'll stop losing weight). This applies to your workout routines, too. Change them up every 4-6 weeks if I recall correctly and have different routines each day of the week during that period. That means free style jogging, bikes, rowers, treadmill, elliptical, etc should all be included in your cardio for example.

Edit: Waffles seem fine. It's something about the batter in pancakes I think. I love them, but after two-three bites... I'm finished. I just can't keep them down for some reason. I suspect I likely over-ate or ate them while I was sick at some point in my life (likely at a young age) and never "got over it".

Have you ever eaten something you liked a lot, got sick, thrown it up, and then all of a sudden eating that food just... doesn't appeal to you anymore? In some cases actually makes you feel a little nauseous? I'm suspecting it's something like that. I ate a LOT of pancakes (especially blueberry) as a kid so it's not unlikely. I'll ask mom next time I get the chance.

Yeppers. I used to love this spicy Jamaican dish that my mom used to make, I think it was called curry goat (or something like that) she made it for us as a little surprise and bam, I dropped that plate like a bad case of dysentary. It's not that I hate my moms cooking (it's pretty god-tier imo) but I just couldn't stomach all the spice. It actually ticked me off cause I WANTED to eat it.
