“Ninja Playground” Tournament and “Team” Rules
0. Brief Overview
“Ninja Playground “ Tournament and “Team” consists of two tournaments in one. Joining as a team is highly recommended. [Please see the sign ups thread for more details on how to join]. If you dont have a team, you will be given a choice to form a temporary team with the other fellow solo players or you can choose to be randomly assigned to a team—you have an option of naming the team as well.
“Ninja Playground” Tournament is a fully fledged Team Tournament allowing teams to obtain team points as well as a “solo” component allowing individuals members on the team to gain personal scores. “Ninja Playground” Tournament will feature a ROUND-ROBIN system, whereby every team plays every other team once. So if you are interested please read below for the nifty-gritty.

TOURNAMENT ENDS : 12 November 2009 (Thursday)

1. REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER:
You agree to the rules if you are signing up for this tourney.
1. You MUST have PS3 (Playstation® 3) system + AD-HOC (That's the only way you can face your opponents.)
2. You MUST record ALL MATCHES to resolve disputes, if they arise. This is the only way to prove your case.
3. Only ONE match is required to be uploaded (the best one), but you may choose to upload all of them. You will need to send replays to DFFreplays@gmail.com.
4. SCHEDULING: This is the best part of this tourney. No round is dependent on any other since this is a round robin system. You may choose to play any round you wish in any order. It is recommend that you pace yourself by playing at least 2 rounds in one week (7 days.) The tournament will run for approximately 3-5 weeks depending on the number of teams. All rounds can run in parallel. Please try to play as a team in one go, unless this is an impossibility. A “Hotel” on AD-HOC can accommodate all 6 members.
5. Please consult the calendar for the number of rounds your team needs to complete by a specific date. This is very, extremely, utmost IMPORTANT. Your team will be disqualified for certain rounds if you fall behind schedule. Always consult the calendar.
6. You are responsible for arranging the time and place between yourself and your opponent to conduct a match.
7. It is your responsibility to CHECK for illegal equipment/accessories/items at the beginning of a match. If you have a dispute, make sure you record the match as it will be your only proof of this. Please kindly tell your opponent if he/she is using illegal equipment/accessories/items at the beginning of a match, and restart it. Proceeding a match with illegal equipment/accessories/items will result in a loss for the wearer for that match, unless you and your opponent agree to redo the match.
8. Your matches may be reviewed, if foul play is suspected (violation of rules)
9. You must report violation of rules before the deadline for that round or it will not be reviewed.

The following below are LIMITED in this tournament; these items can only be used ONCE per round. Even if these items do not break in battle or are simply not used; you MUST take them off.

Phoenix Down OR Phoenix Pinion. (You can't use both. Decide which is best)
Note: You can choose to have one match where you use both the incense and the phoenix down/pinion. Or you can choose to equip incense on one match and phoenix down/pinion on the other.

3. “Team” Tournament Rules:
i. A team must consist of three members.
ii. A team representative will be determined randomly for each round. (A team may not have the same leader as a previous round until every member of the team has been leader once.) Team representatives will be made known for each and all rounds ahead of time.
iii. Team representatives elect one team member to fight.
iv. First match of a round will be determined by coin flip, afterward first choice goes to the winner of the previous match.
v. An individual match victory is based on 2 wins out of 3 battles.
vi. A team match is defined as one individual match.
vii. The first team to win 2 team matches, wins the round.
viii. It is highly recommend that you play three matches in order to contribute to your solo score as well. But this has no impact on team score/outcome.
ix. Results are submitted, along with any required videos after each round.
x. This process continues until all teams have faced off each other.
3.1 Additional Rules
i. Players are allowed to choose any map. However, if both players cannot come to a consensus, Random Map shall be used.
ii. Players are allowed to choose the Cosmos/Chaos/Random Rule. However, if both players cannot come to a consensus, NO RULE must be chosen.
3.2 “Team” Tournament SCORING GUIDE:
i. A team starts with 0 points.
ii. For each round, a winning team is awarded 1 team point. The defeated team, none.
4. “Ninja Playground” Solo Tournament Rules:
The solo component of the “Ninja Playground” Tournament is derived from “Team” battles. As you engage in Team battles you also receive individual scores.
4.1 “Ninja Playground” Solo Tournament SCORING GUIDE:
i. Everyone starts with a score of 0.
ii. Each individual will receive a score, depending on how many wins or losses one accumulates throughout the tournament. The score heavily depends on which character you decided to use for the match—your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice.
i.A win grants you:

ii.+80 score for 2nd choice
iii.+60 score for 3rd choice
ii.A loss still grants you:
i.+5 score for 1st choice
ii.+10 score for 2nd choice
iii.+20 score for 3rd choice
