From what we know of 'The great will'

Shinryu addresses the great will as you (the player) and as THE God of creation.

Garland does things per the great will.

Garland was led 2000 years into the past by 'the great will'.

Some fans say the great will is the player, i don't think this really makes sense since the player never led Garland 2000 years in the past, in this game or in FF1.

But Shinryu addresses YOU as the great will.

So what does it all mean?

normally the great will means god

(examples include nocturne, shin megami tensei 2 etc)

so i still think it means god

chaos is A GOD but not THE god if you get what im trying to say

Before many of you joined the site, I was under the influence of the great will. In order to reveal his existence, I created a thread, but now it has disappeared into the abyss, how sad :(. For those of you who know what Im talking about, you get a cookie

The Great Will is basically God, and you play as him. All that other shit that makes it make no sense to you? That's "your" backstory. The character you play as in Inward Chaos is The Great Will's chosen ambassador, basically.

YOU are GOD in Dissidia. Awesome, huh?

Nope. Cid just made a deal with Shinryu to make the War last forever and have Shinryu resurrect the Gods every time they fall.

I always thought shinn ruyuu was the great will never thought of the player as ther great will this is and interesting theory. Oh and wat the bob thing?

In fact, Shinryu calls YOU the PLAYER the Great Will in Inward Chaos.

He actually says the he is the Great Will and that if there would be again another conflict, he would like to see you (the player/character) as Great Will of this war.
