Well they have the brains to chart out a completely brand new story for CC...SE can do it if they wanted to...
Laguna...well he's kinda like Zack to me..just a lil more carefree though...

DoC was a good game for a first-person shooter. :)

But Laguna lacks some exclusive battle styles that will separate him from counter-strike like characters. :)

I'd have to say that's because of the interest that FF7 generated in the series.

Adel, the main antagonist of Laguna´s story, never had a confrontation against Laguna & Co.. She was tricked into imprisonment. The last boss battle would be kind of a joke, unless SE came up with something after Laguna´s rise to power. But even then, it´s known that Esthar isolated itself from the rest of the world. What would they do? Maybe a coup or something, influenced by Ultimecia or another Sorceress, but that would be it.

And yeah, FF VIII has plotholes. Especially concerning Ultimecia and the Sorceresses.

Imagine in Esthar that Adel had a league of fanatic followers, after the incident, returning to Esthar and getting to the Presidential Palace would force Laguna to fight them one after the other until the final confrontation within the Presidential Palace.

I would also imagine the dream sequences from FF8 would clearly play a part in the game, at such times, giving Laguna, Kiros and Ward more or less invincibility against certain bosses or enemies, as Laguna and Kiros did mention having Squall and co in their minds gave them a phenomenal power.

Well SE could make up a new antagonist...like how they did with the whole Genesis thing...
But since Adel was clearly shown in the game tricked into imprisonment...
And yea I would seriously like to see all characters in full 3D..I mean like DFF or CC style..

It may kinda work like Kingdom hearts with Seifer the main controllable character and then a switch control system so you could switch control to either Raijin or Fujin. :)

I've already seen too much of Cloud. I don't want to see him at all. It's like seeing a food that you've eaten every day for the last few years. He was good at first, but he's gotten rather tiresome for me.

FF did save square from bankruptcy but I can't deny the fact that FFVII made its way into the top 10 most popular games of all time and it stayed there for quite some time longer than other games. :)

Everyone talks about how they'd like an FF8 seprequel with Laguna, or Squall and Seifer duking it out in an Epic Gunblade Battle or something. While I'm usually all No Way Hozay on seprequels, I'd honestly like and encourage the idea of an VIII-2 where we get to see Rinoa finally grow the fuck up, seeing as how that doesn't happen in the original game.

The Laguna and Ultimecia ideas are all great but the only thing that I would look forward to is the recreation of the feel of FFVIII. It had somewhat of a distinct feel. That game holds a lot of memories for me. It was my very first RPG.:)

But the problem is this game is controversial. It gets extreme praise or extreme criticism(if I remember correctly). Some people loves the characteristics of Squall, while others dislike it because of his indifference.

Honestly, why Square Enix would bother to cost tons of money to make sequel, when they can instead using the money to make FF7 sequal, which is generally accepted and praised when comparing with FF8?

But nevertheless, I wish they can make sequel of this game :(

Well for me was the best FF of the series cause all what he do for save Rinoa from the Sorcerer, it hv school lke in modern way and his attitude is perfect cause all that he hv to pass when he was a little kid, who wont hv that attitude after that, but i would like to see a sequel, a new evil member SeeD want to take Balamb for his plans and Seifer and Squall r now best friends but with their difference, idk something lke that, hope they make something~^
