Might change my Man play character

Well since there is WAY to many squall mainers, im thinking of changing my main...I have been maining the following characters.

Tidus
Ultimecia
Cloud
Zidane
Gabranth


I was thinking, no one really mains Gabranth...but he's so easy to beat..and so predictable to, (well in my opinion at least....I've never lost to him)

Zidane is quick moving, cocky....and his skills are really nice. He has a great balance of magic and close range fighting

Cloud, He's a plain brute. Chaining his attacks are endless for me.

Tidus, i LOVE how he uses combos...and everything is so flashy..when he's got you in a combo, your finished

Ultimecia, Shes a god...with her time compression and spells shes really good. Honestly i use her like you'd use Emperor, using traps out of the spells...one of my favorites is the Charged arrows...i put them by an Ex core as they're coming, then fire my swords at them...once they try again their BRV breaks and i grab the core..and finish them off with a Time Crush and an HP attack =]

Honestly i don't think i'll have a main...it'll switch periodically for people who wanna battle my ghost and stuff...so be ready for some changes

Well, maybe you don't have to forcibly change your main. You should definitely try out all of these characters, and after that point, see if there's one that you prefer over your main. That seems like a better process, to be honest.

Also, while I don't use him, Gabranth is a bloody beast. AI Gabranth is a shackled sack of moronic idiocy, so there's a 98% chance that any player can win against him. PC Gabranth will devour worlds.

Agreed. Play with who you want to play with and don't let the abundance/lack/effectiveness/etc. of a certain character sway your decisions.

Almost everyone uses him, why wouldn't i wanna change it...besides i think it's MY choice so therefore don't tell me what to do. All iasked for was guidence and a sincere NICE opinion, not critisizm...thank you

As much as I agree that there are too many Squall mainers out there, I don't think you should change your main from him unless you find another character that suits your playstyle more. I can empathize with you wanting to change your main out of over-popularity reasons (I used to main Marth in Super Smash Bros Melee :eek:), but unless you can naturally adapt to your new character, then you're only holding yourself back. If you don't have a burning desire to be #1 absolute god of pro Dissidia awesumsauceness, then go ahead and change your main so that you can still have fun with it. If you find that Squall is still the best character for your playstyle, then there's absolutely nothing wrong with learning a new character as a secondary (however, I wouldn't blame you for claiming that they are your main to save face as a player-who-does-not-play-Squall).

Yeah, i won't change from Squall, but i do want a Secondary main, i might go with one from my list at the beginning of this thread

Nobody was being a jerk although Heavens did assume to much. We were just giving out opinions on the matter. It just so happens that most of our opinions were not to change it.

After beating a Level 100 Maxi AI Gabranth with wave after wave of level 1 characters, I'd have to say this is true.

Or better yet, when you play Dissidia next time, use the random character button and the chosen character will be your new main. :)
