Alternate Ex Mode

Okay....I always wondered if anyone thought about this like I have. The emperor became ruler of heaven and hell in dawn of souls right? So you know his alternate costume? Wouldn't it be cool if his ex mode for his alternate costume would be the emperor of heaven(Emperor's Light side)? What if he had a different exburst like the onion knight also?

I thought he used pretty much the same attacks as the Emperor of Hell did...
But as cool as that is, it's not what the game is portraying him as, ugly as sin.

The Light Emperor didn't appear in the original Final Fantasy II. However a slight reference does appear when he uses his Ex-Burst, "Entice." (JPN name: Temptation.)

Because... well... he tries to entice/tempt you into joining him when he's the Light Emperor. That's about it though.

Still, Light Emperor Ex-Mode would have been pretty cool, even if it was only in his Alternate costume. I mean, Cloud didn't appear in his Advent Children costume or use Omni Slash V5 in the original Final Fantasy VII, so it could have worked.

But then again I'd have preferred it if they let us use those crystal costumes aswell. *sigh*

Yep it would have been a great feature to add, that and a whole bunch of alternate costumes...

The Emperor of Heaven doesn't have the HP absorb ability like Emperor of Hell has. So, the alternate costume would then take out his heal effect too - and then, I doubt that anyone would use that because the heal is pretty useful in some situations.

But Ben, I'm sure they'd just keep the effect, Alternate costumes don't change abilities at all.

To be honest, looking at the Emperor of Heaven's design, it looks as impractical to do as Safer Sephiroth or The Final form of Ultimecia. To much to put in.

They WERE going to use that. But apprently due to issues in the game, it was going to make it lag.

I'd think it would be because it'd cause little children to die looking at it. But I do like the current EX Mode Ultimecia, it suits her just fine.

But for the Emperor of Heaven, what would his normal form be? It can't be the one we have now since that one isn't reflecting the "angelic" part of his evil soul (even though both halves are still evil, wtf).

It just shows how manipulative he is. He went to hell and became emperor, then he went to heaven and still became emperor... I mean, he's fracking awesome.

He could just have a white-gold normal form, and a shortened robe for EX Mode...

Or they keep the original golden Emperor with Hell Emperor in EX modewith all it'S effects and the silver one with the Heaven Emperor as EX mode which maybe has other spells or more range and then maybe Cyclone (I read that he destroyed much with Cyclone in the original game) as EX Burst (a more powerful version of the fail EX burst with the normal Emperor).

That would be tricky when your opponent doesn't see in the beginning, which Emperor he's dealing with, only on battle start. More mind gaming for Emperor ^^

He would be a seperate character then. How would they impliment that?

I kinda like how he is though. I use his Alternate form all the time, and to be honest I prefer the Emperor of Hell colours in his alternate form than in the other.

Well, I meant as alternative forms. Or how about the possibility to change the EX Mode costume (or even switch the whole EX mode to another) too instead of the whole character only? That would be fun if you could customize them even more. Or for the Emperor of Hell and Heaven, maybe some form change like Cecil.

Well, I like his Alternative EX too but the normal golden Emperor suits better for me^^
