SO3 was a great game in general, the best of the series. Luther was a great antagonist, to bad you dont get too see him until the end of the game. It's pretty cool how he wasn't evil....I wonder who was really on the wrong side ?

If you adhere to the tenets of Sentience and Free Will, Luther would be considered incorrect. But at the same time Luther was taking what could be considered a preemptive measure against what he believed was a threat. So if you support the idea of typical war... ._.
Though...I personally adhere to the belief that people should be allowed to make choices so in my case Luther would be wrong. :V

But Luther never tried to take away their free will. It never really explained how much control they actually had over the Eternal Sphere.
Imagine if you created a video game and suddenly the characters just came out and tried too kill you.

But Luther never tried to take away their free will. It never really explained how much control they actually had over the Eternal Sphere.
The exact amount of control that they had is sort of left to interpretation (especially with the remakes) but it can be assumed that they slowly started to lose the ability to interfere directly with the flow of the game.
Imagine if you created a video game and suddenly the characters just came out and tried too kill you.
Its not so much that...it would be closer to the Digimon series. The digital monsters become aware of the boundary between their world and reality, and eventually pose a threat. The government then sets out to protect humanity.
And so...now I feel like sticking a random quote here. :P
"We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?"

the only reason that fayt and co went after luther was because he launched a preemptive attack to try and destroy their universe
otherwise even if they knew about the 4d realm i doubt they would go after the creator
That's pretty much true Kirby. :P
"You’re nothing more than a collection of 0s and 1s…"
Yep, Luther is pretty awesome, all right. ^_^ Although, I don't think his role in the game was as significant as if should have been. You hardly even know him until late, late in the game. And then even at that, he stays at one place. He has more significance than, say, Necron from Final Fantasy IX, but not like Vayne from Final Fantasy XII (who was a stupid villain, by the way).
