( I was gonna poll this but...cant find it so.)
Back when you first played final fantasy and beat your first game years ago, you have to have wondered."if they made a final fantasy fighting game!!! That would rock! I would rape everyone with cloud!!!" How stoked were you when dissidia was announced?
Man...it was my Junior year in high school...
" OMFG" as I watched the trailer in the school library, and got kicked out.Then I pissed my pants when I saw Tidus at the end of the 2nd trailer.
" YES" "I WILL RAPE WITH HIM!!! F@$# CLOUD AND SQUALL!!! THIS GUY DISSAPEARED IN HIS ENDING!!!! "
"Tidus you will OWN in dissidia!" "Its your very right to live!"
- why i main him...and i'ma show you all! who's the best ;)
now say "I" if you had a moment like this or anything that comes close and please share so i don't feel lonely.
I wasnt really as excited as you so yea. I only played ff7-10 before dissidia, and while watching videos on youtube, I saw a battle between cloud and squall, and it was kickass. Graphics were way better than any other fighting game I played, and you can fly around and stuff, like in dbz, but with swords and magic, and combos, lots and lots of combos. Bought it online 2 days later

That reason is plenty enough lol...u could say I dreamed about dissidia.
and in this lifetime. Not many dreams come to life.
I just really wanted an epic fighting game, with an actual story, even if its not that much

Ive always wanted one, i was pumped when i first heard about this like almost 2 years ago :D
BlazBlue is pretty Pwnage, got it a few weeks ago (Limited Edition)

BlazBlu is the best 2D fighting game while Dissidia is the best 3D.
But.. i've played Enherigitz (Sp?) before... so yeah, I wanted a BETTER Final Fantasy Fighting game.

ahahaha, i had a similar experience. I don't remember what I did though, I probably passed out for a good while due to excess fangasm.
But yeah as a kid I always dreamed of the idea of an FF fighting game. I never expected it to literally happen.
And here I am, a couple of weeks or so away from finally getting a taste of my dreams in a its very real and tangible form.
BlazBlu is the best 2D fighting game while Dissidia is the best 3D.
But.. i've played Enherigitz (Sp?) before... so yeah, I wanted a BETTER Final Fantasy Fighting game.
would super smash bros count as 2d or 3d, cuz I like it more than blazblue, but it still doesnt compare to dissdia

I'm pretty much like Kumo, I played FF7-12 then Dissidia came out, I just wanted a chance to see Tidus in another FF game again. And here we go FF dissidia! =P

When I first saw a Dissidia trailer (a couple days after it came out on the japanese website) I was dead set on buying this game.
And then I saw the characters.
And then I saw the bundle.
Could Tuesday come any slower? :P
Whats wrong with 7, 7 is what got me hooked on final fantasy, and wooh 500 posts

With popularity comes people who dislike it simply because of that.
I think 7 stands up to most of it's praise. But a game to end all games it is not.

I meant starting from 7, The only grudge i have against 7 that it has so many prequels and sequels. While the other games which deserve a sequel (FF8-9) don't have any. Granted Squall is in kingdom hearts but so is Cloud, Get what i mean?

Nero, you have to understand the equation.
Popularity of game = attention from Square Enix.
If 8 or 9 were as popular as 7, they'd have a ton of sequels and prequels too.
But they are not.

That's a fact, Every game company thinks of money. But seriously DoC gameplay was trash, I only played it for the story.
Crisis Core was a great psp game but the fighting system was kind of dull, but it's still good.
BoC..Lolwut I seriously can't imagine that being popular seeing it's only for a certain cellphone.
FFAC It's a very good movie and it was a nice sequel and the action was badass.
Cloud is becoming the Square Enix trademark in the Final Fantasy series because he's comes in alot of games. If Squall for example had sequels, had a movie he would've been in the same situation.
No matter what, if there is a FF8 remake FF fans will buy it, even the FF7 fanboys.

I didn't care about it much until Kraid couldn't stop talking about it and I had no idea what he was saying or what was going on in his videos. Then I played it and I have to say it's better than what I expected. It doesn't have the MvC2 excitement, 3rd Strikes smart or Virtua Fighter 5 technicians, but it's a fun game of it's own based around mind games.
Sadly, it won't have a big scene at all cause it's on the PSP. Then again, even if it was on the PS3, the US won't care THAT much for it to be in big tournaments like Evo, so it'll only be big in Japan.. But again, consoles are also a problem since most tournaments in Japan are arcades only..

Well, I doubt it'll happen. Contrary to popular belief, Squeenix listens to it's fan base...so if there is a huge outcry for FF8 AC-ish movie. Then they'll probably consider it.
Its cuz ff7 was the first in the series that was 3Dish, therefore gaining so much popularity and fans, and also had alot of unanswered questions, like why the hell is their a vampire on my team. and I still have questions like, where the hell did the first tsurugi come from, what happened to genesis, genova, sephiroth, so on

Pretty much, I don't want to say that FF7 series should stop, I absolutely loved it and Cloud is one of my favorite FF hero's. But seriously i've had enough of playing games that doesn't have Cloud playable. You can pretty much see how Square is just making profits till they decide release FF7 remake.
But really, their just setting things up for even more sequels with their stupid unanswered question, but then again they do that for most of their games.

What more do you want?
Making games without Cloud as the focus was brilliant on Squeenix's behalf.
Next I want to be Sephy and start killing all of the ff7 cast :D
