How was everyones time with minerva i had fun with her.
I died about infinity times before i costly punched the hell out of her
and the use of curaga was vast. i messed up pretty bad when i used sp master and after the fight i had about 3 sp to spare but she was a bitch but the divine slayer made everything all better

try mugging her. every time you mug her you get a phoenix down. keep mugging her until you get 99 phoenix downs. I had alot of fun with her. first time i fought her i died about 20 times. its not that she is hard its just that it takes a while before you kill her. one way to do some massive damage is octoslash.

Actullay you can farm phoenix downs from her. You dont get just one when you steal them, you get all 99. Go sell them for like helf a mil and go buy what ever gives you the most sp when you convert it. ,repeat until you have all the sp you could ever want. ^^ it works and if you run out of sp...you didnt farm her enough!

she's really quite difficult even with genji armour and max'd materias, though i did underlevel :P

All you have to do is your strongest attacks, and keeping stealing Phoenix Downs from her. She has infinite amounts of them on her, so keep stealing. Also, you must also use them in this battle because she has a one hit kill attack which WILL hit, so use as many as possible, while stealing the Phoenix Downs from her.

Remember that patience is key, for this battle may take a half hour!

Minerva wasn't so hard. If you can do the level before Minerva (which is very, very, very hard) and you have Costly Punch, then you can probably kill Minerva too. It's going to take some time, but it shouldn't be hard. Just remember to block Ultima, because it will do 99,999 if you don't block it. And Curaga-Doublecast will make stuff easy.

Yep that too. Well, if you're at a high enough level, she should not be too hard should she? Oh, and by the way, I hear she's arguably the hardest final fantasy 7 boss ever(so says the walkthrough).

She is easier than average FF boss. I killed her without having read any walkthrough before knowing about 99 phoenix down which makes everything too easy. I didn't even have all Genji stuff only helm and glove. I used Costly Punch and dodge Ultima. Btw have you guys seen a guy killing Minerva super fast on Youtube with his throwing money stretegy.

Minerva's actually not "difficult." Think of her as the end of a Fetch Quest. Most of the battle is wrapped up in preparation. Getting Costly Punch, 255 Vit, 255 Spr. After that, all you really need is Mug & Costly Punch, although other items can help.

But for the actual battle itself, it becomes basic tactics. Block/dodge attacks, keep HP above half, have Raise on. Unless I'm mistaken, you need 255 Vit/Spr in order to survive Judgment Arrow.

I personally think that Minerva was pathetic all her attacks were easily dodged, sept for The one where ice erupts kyresta or something. plus with the 99 Phoenix downs the fight is basically rigged... and Who ever thinks this is the most difficult boss obviously hasn't fought the Emerald weapon from the original VII.

minerva got easy after i killed her for the first time after that i just whent on a minerva killing frenzy(and i never needed sp master i didnt havethe patience to get the pheonix downs to sell to buy the materia to convert to sp i got to about 4 and a half mil sp before i just gave up) and emerald was fun on ff7. he's easy when you have knights of the round and mimic on everyone and w-summon with a mastered final attack connected with a mastered pheonix. and ruby was fun too.
