I was in the Blackjack Course fighting Golbez in the World of Darkness, (omega stage) and we happened to be in the teleported dimension when this happened. I don't know if it means anything, but in case someone wanted to explore this, I'm trying to recap what happened, since I forgot to save the replay. DX

Anyway, Golbez fired off a Nightglow, which I dodged, but then he hit me with a Cosmic Ray right after. ._. Now I can't recall if the Nightglow was executed during a teleportation or not, but there was definitely no teleportation in between the Nightglow and Cosmic Ray.

Any thoughts on how this could happen?

Ummm.. I don't think it can happen? Are you absolutely sure it was a Cosmic Ray and not the lazors that come out of the floor from Night Glow?

I'm positive, because I heard Golbez say, "I'll erase you!" (Or "File the abyss!" if you want to be exact about what I hear when he uses Cosmic Ray).

So I literally heard, "Endure this! I'll erase you!"

It's definitely a glitch of some kind I know, but I'm just wondering how it would be made "possible"?

Umm umm... only situation i could think of is..
Nightglow (you get hit or circle appears on the ground) -> Worlds change -> he uses a brv attack you don't see and chains into cosmic ray.

That seems like a bit of a stretch, and i think you already ruled it out. I guess when it boils down to it The Computer is a cheating bastard. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheComputerIsACheatingBastard)

Most likely, but it is there if any Golbez mainers want to play around with this. ^^

If I can get this glitch to happen again, I will remember to save the replay this time. >.<

Most likely you just got hit by a brave attack and you didn't notice because of the map change.

The computers can automatically attack even immediately after chases, world change, etc. IMO, the computer attacked you during the exact time of the world change thus the animation for the BRV attack wouldn't be seen IMO so after he casted nightglow at the first world, maybe he attacked you and after the second world was seen, you are already eating his cosmic ray. Just a thought. Don't know if it really helps. Sorry.

Thanks for the attempt guys, but I mentioned in the first post that there was no world change in between the two attacks, which is why I posted this incident because it's unusual. If no one else has experienced it, I'll just assume the computer was just cheating. >.<

You can combo into Nightglow actually.

First do Assault System (Makes the floating spheres that fire the lasers at you) then do Glare Hand, Dodge Cancel and use Nightglow. Much better than Cosmic Ray.

I think what Aevitas is saying is that Nightglow linked directly into Cosmic Ray and that the opponent did it, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying.

Also possible and useful, but the other method has a higher damage output thanks to glare hand

If you can get Glare Hand to connect properly. Which it usually doesn't because of Attack System's randomness. It'll only do like 100 -200 more damage anyways, the whole point is to land NG for the wall crash.

^ Strange, it always connects if I use it after hitting them with Attack System. As long as you arent too far away, walking away seems a bit slow and could be a matter of luck, hoping the character doesnt recover soon enough.

Were you hit by the Nightglow after the world change? Which stage were you on when Nightglow was used, and which stage did you switch to when you got hit by Cosmic Ray?

I'm trying Night Glow locked off and testing if it's necessary to use Gravity/Float System immediately after the world change. I'll set one to neutral O. I wonder if it's possible to substitute Gravity Force/Rise Wave for Nightglow in this combo...

It seems ground attacks without aerial variants (Nightglow) are canceled if you are placed into the air during a stage switch.
---
In the first stage with the pillars, it takes approximately 5 seconds once the petals start falling to switch stages. Each stages seem to last for a randomized time (~30-40s).

We can all stop asking about world changing now.
