Yes you are allowed, but you must follow the counterpick system unless both of you can come to a system you are willing to follow and NOT argue about later for any reason. If you do bring up conflicts and did not follow my system, I'll simply disregard your issue and tell you either do it all over or both will be DQ. No further questions asked.

I'm reading the rules, but I don't see anything about EXG being banned or not. I see EXR is allowed, so I'm guessing EXG is allowed too?

I believe the general consensus is that ExGuard is always allowed.

Quick question: So it's possible to extend the matchup deadline by a few days by PMing Rei-n? Me and my friend may not be able to make the 4 day deadline (may take 5-6 days MAYBE)

We are going to be strict on the 4-Day rule. Rei-N wants to enforce it to the point.

Alright, you NEED to PM me the circumstances you have as to why you cannot keep up with the four day rule period. This will grant you SOME leeway, but not a whole lot. I do not want this to become like Get Salty! So if you require five days or so, I may allow a few points in the beginning. As we advance though, no excuses. You either make it or don't, that's the harsh reality of a tournament scene. Very rarely do you get a lucky repreive for being late.

So to answer your question Robo, I'll grant you and Lyco some pardon depending on your situation (please explain it as fully as possible) and make a responding PM. I will also post up those whom need the pardon so that those who face them will have a heads up.

What's the method for sending in replays? More specifically, what format? I doubt that sending each match (~200MB) is preferred. Just send in the replay data from the SAVEDATA folder on the PSP? Not sure what is the norm and couldn't find details on how you all want it.

Give us the un-modified version, before you converted to an .avi file. That way, it's smaller and way more managable; plus easy to watch.

Oh btw before I forget to ask again. Um, we have 4 days to complete our matches right? Soo, since there's like only 6 ppl in Round 0.5, do the people in Round 0.5 and the people in Round 1 both have the same deadline of March 31st? Or do the Round 0.5 people have till March 31st and Round 1 people have until April 4th? Just wanted to clarify this.

What exactly is EX-splicing?

- EX Splicing (EXS): by shifting to EX mode during an attack whiff, it will continue on as if it were a hit confirm. For a brief time, the player splicing will also gain EXA properties. Unlike EX Link, this is player input controlled.


Player 1 attack whiffs -> Player 2 counter -> Player 1 shifts to EX mode-> Player 1 inputs new command to continue
- Example 1: Exdeath uses High Guard and lets go of it after Zidane flanks him. Zidane uses Vortex while Exdeath is in cooldown from High Guard. Exdeath switches into EX mode while in cooldown and is now free to input a follow up from High Guard as Zidane is staggered/EXG'ed.

Cloud can do it with both Slashing Blow and Sonic Break
Onion Knight can do it with any of his brave attacks.

I think that explanation (as well as most the ones in the thread that was pulled from.) is far too complex. All an ExSplice is, is using the guard property gained from Exguarding as a stand-in for a 'Hit Confirm' on a brave attack, then continuing to link into the next portion of the attack. Or basically, a player controlled ExLink (people seem to understand that)

Not to be harsh on Rei-N though, it is good to be specific so people can't find loopholes. But it gets so confusing and complicated at times :[
