Rules:

Aside -> I'm making these rules to better facilitate the overall meaning for the battle replay section, for critiquing and improvement of one's gameplay, these rules will help to better facilitate such an environment.

1) Stay on topic.
Don't break off onto a random tangent, just stay on your point and critique the given replays.

2) Posters -> Try to keep the number of videos you post to less than 3 at a time. More than 3 will probably be more than most people will be willing to watch. Don't overwhelm us

If you just want to post lots of your videos and aren't looking for critiques, please simply put your link in the youtube channel thread here: http://dissidiaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2766, tell those on the forum you wish to that your channel is there and when you plan to upload and you'll be good to go as well!! :D

3) Make which battles you're critiquing clear.
To avoid confusion, please note what video you are critiquing at the beginning of your critique post. With lots of videos being posted in here, this is very necessary. Don't forget!!

4) Avoid posting videos of matches against CPUs.
CPUs don't play like humans, which makes critiquing you difficult. Stick to posting matches against other people.

5) Do not post vids here that are more than 1 month old.
Critiquing old vids is pointless. Post recent vids so we can see what you currently need work on. :)

It's just a thought, but should people really be limited to posting videos against other players? Even within a community like this it's not always easy to find human opponents, I know I don't have easy access to multiplayer and I know of quite a few others with the same issues.

It's not limited to videos of battles against human opponents, but battles against CPU opponents are just... well, pretty boring. Playing humans is so much more different and harder than CPUs. In fact, judging a player's true skill is practically impossible, against CPU opponents.

I might sound like an idiot for asking.. But what if you're uploading the replay not so people can critique your battle skill, but so people can critique how good the replay itself is? For example one of my replays was made to be more like a movie for people to enjoy. In addition it was made using a CPU opponent.

Is there a place here to upload "fail" videos? (vs cpu or otherwise)

That's fine. Whatever you upload, just be prepared for criticism of any kind. =p

Certainly. Nothing here says that you can't.

I'm sorry, I really couldn't ignore this, but if you have people with the same issues, then why don't you meet up with THOSE guys?

Meaning a cinematic replay? It seems to be predominantly competitive replays here, I'd love to have a cinematic section personally :P
