View Full Version : Why does no one discuss anything in the Social Groups?

^^Topic. Seems a bit weird that every group I've seen just has its members but they never use the space to talk about whatever the group is about...
I understand some things aren't really complex enough to discuss in-depth (I <3 Sazh Club, anyone? :P ) but some of the others I'm a little confused about the lack of communication. This is a website where the community is supposed to get together right? What gives then? Am I missing something?

It's probably because most people forget about them and don't check back after joining, and there's no way of knowing if there are new posts unless you go to the group page. I tried posting in one of the groups I created when I first made it, but since almost no one else posted, I gave up.

That makes sense. Then if anyone important is reading this, I officially request a feature that updates group members of group updates. Either that or the way/place to do so properly :D

There is one group which is quite active. :)
It's the Pearl of the Orient manage by ZO (It has more than 1000 posts already, 1375 as of today). :)
Zero should make it that if someone makes a post in the groups you get an email or a message.

I think the fact that we have the forums themselves, as well as IRC to discuss near anything, would be contributing to the fact we don't talk in the groups. I mean, why make a <3 Sazh group and talk in there, where it's all hidden away, when you can go to the FF13 board, and do the exact same thing, but get lots more exposure?

hmmm... I can say our group, Pearl of The Orient stays active maybe because we can talk there using our local language sometimes (or most of the times... :D).
And it serves also as our discussion room whenever we plan to meet with each other IRL to have some matches and mini-tourneys.
i'm glad, my group members are cooperative and active.
Basically, we talk lots of things in the group...

Also because the pearl of the orient group has the same country and that that makes us more cooperative with each other since we use our own language and has more common interests and news of the country.
