Problem connecting flare after holy

Hi all, I have 'serious' problems connecting flare after holy hits. After my holy hits (usually just one ball), i immediately spam pressing circle, but my opponent always seems to be able to recover and dodge my flares. Other times, I can manage to hit them with 2 flares, but the third one ALWAYS misses. What am I doing wrong? I have tried timing my presses with flares, but I can't seem to get the trick.

If the foe gets hit with holy(One ball) try to dodge and cast another Holy :D

I have the same problem. In EX mode, it's easy, it's like firing a Flare Machine Gun. Without EX though, I can only get Flare to connect maybe 50% of the time. It seems more like luck dependent than anything.

Controlled Recovery works wonders for getting out of that Holy > Ultima combo, which is probably what your opponents had. I'd say your best bet is to try casting another Holy. It's a dangerous move as it is (although not as dangerous as Bartz' Holy > Flare), and not to mention completely broken in EX Mode, imo.

I think if you miss you're usually too far OR too close.

Most people only usually hit with two or three also. It gets more annoying as then when people do the Ultima, the opponent can actually get out of it with the right timing.

I usually try different combos out of Ex rather than try Holy>Ultima

As Thiefcopy said, EX Flare is like a machine gun. If you are not hitting with it, you are seriously doing it wrong.

Out of Ex, it's like a guess as to whether it hits or not.
