Well, it's been awhile since I've been into this group and I think it's about time I finally make a thread.. mainly because Smilie sparked my interest in doing so a week or so back.

For those that don't know, Perfume is a JTrance group that produces not only wonderful music but awesome dance moves too. :P So I recommend that if you don't like this sort of stuff you leave the thread, now! D:< Otherwise feel free to post your thoughts on the group here as well as pictures and videos. And if you're new to the band I recommend trying them out, they have some great stuff. <3

Not yet, I'm a lurker of the forums for now. I've been thinking of joining though mainly because I'd like to be kept up to date with information about them and also because they have the best photostream for Perfume. <3

I'm planning on buying their Livefolio and Portfolio if I can get ahold of it. I've seen some of the shots done and they look beautiful. <3

Since I can't decide between who is my favorite member, I should say that I like Nocchi's voice among them but that doesn't make her my favorite. :)

EDIT: Oh and seeing the music video of their latest single VOICE makes 'hole in the wall' players fail miserably. :)

VOICE is a great video clip and I totally agree with what you said Belts, not only that but in their older videos their crazy outfits just make them look.. well silly of course, but unique and different. Fushizen na Girl is my favorite release still and the instrumental is even better. <3 I watched this video of a fan opening his single and he was so happy.. and old. XD

I hope that they perform at this years Rock Japan! I love watching their live performances from there.

And I so wish I could watch their television show but there's no where to do so.. D:

I think I love Perfume for their story and definitely for their friendship. A-Chan said something really cute like.. I have many wishes but my one wish would be that Perfume stay together forever. Or was that Nocchi who said that? Bad memory is bad.. XD

Anyway their friendship is so admirable ~ <3 they've been together for such a long time and even watching the documentary on them brought a tear to my eye. Just like it did A-Chans <3

Nah, I don't think they perform live. I've seen a lot of comments that have been posted like "They don't perform live! I'm disappointed!" but I think it would be hard to perform their songs live >.O;

Unless they are actually live and they're not lipsynching at all. It's mainly hard to believe because they're jumping around and dancing whilst singing perfectly fine. >.O;

And I don't think so, Kashiyuka is so cute when she talks 83 well, they all are ~

Lots of dancers/singers perform while dancing. Especially for Asian pop, look at like, all the Korean groups and lots of the, um, Hello!Project groups like Buono.

I've seen a few videos where they have a crowd, or are those fake? Not to mention the one you posted up there says 'LIVE'.

I know that hearing Kashiyuka's voice on the interview, she was a bit off-key, so I think that's why pretty much whenever she sings, there's an auto-tune effect. Granted it makes them sound unique, but you know why they do it :P I think she might've gotten better though, voice-training and stuff like that.

As for live, it's pretty much a given that any pop singer who dances during their songs is not in fact singing, because it's pretty much physically impossible to jump and dance and not hear the effects in someone's singing. Take a look at any live punk band, where the singer jumps around during a guitar solo, he's tired and can barely sing when he needs to finish up the final chorus :P

But, as for Perfume, aside from their music, watching them perform is still a sight, because they have such interesting sets and dances put to their music, so who cares if they're not really signing it at that point. They still sang at one time for the vocals of the song :P

perfume can sing, but for the most part their live performances don't seem to be live voices due to their music style and their intricate, precise dance moves.

I think that Nocchi's new hair style is really nice <3 The girls have grown so much over the past few years. It's amazing to see how far they've come, i watched their documentary and cried when I saw all the hard work they did and nearly didn't make it =[

Did you see some of their performances at Tokyo Dome? I really wish I could've been there to experience it <3 and I love the edge mix ! :D most of their songs/remixes are great. <3

Their documentary was very touching, I agree. After watching it I gained a deeper respect for perfume and their efforts to keep going. It's inspiring.

Yeah! I think I've seen almost all the perfume vids on youtube, they're all really fantastic. I was so happy and proud as a fan to see them participate in Macau for the mnet (lolmnet) music awards. They looked pretty nervous but they really did good!
