I notice that there hasn't really been much mention on this move around here. I'm guessing that means it's... Pretty terrible. So, is there any use for it? From my experience, Ultima -> FDC -> Zap-Trap Thundaga in EX Mode always lands Zap-Trap and gets a free Chase- but that's just me.

Has anyone else found any (possible) uses for Zap-Trap?

EDIT:

Also, I forgot to ask if anyone ever bothered with the Forsaken Null cancel? Once I've got a full gauge, I like to run off and start dropping Forsaken Null as a bait- if they get near and try to attack, I can cancel it with an EX block and counter with Havoc Wing, or Scatter-Spray Blizzaga.

MORE EDIT:

Heck, I may as well ask it all here, rather than make a new topic. It seems to me like Kefka's attacks tend to produce very small amounts of EX Force, so I was wondering if it would be better to go for an EX Core set? I plan on getting the Genji Gear, and I've already got a Fake Mustache. Would this be a wise decision?

I'm not sure about the uses of Zap Trap. I personally don't mind it in Ex-Mode, but I don't think I'd use it outside of Ex-Mode.

Kefka does benefit more from Core sniping than traditional Ex-Builds, so increasing his Luck and using accessories that increase the Core absorption and Core appearance work well. My Kefka has a Core appear every 15 or so seconds.

I use it to punish, similar to Waggle Wabbly Firaga, except I can't chain a good HP attack afterward. I find myself spamming it sometimes.

All mages (especially ones that are long-range only) produce very little EX Force. A good thing to do with Kefka is basically almost like sniping, just stay around the edges of the screen with a Rabbit's Foot+Fake Mustache, and (with Dragonfly Orb) just basically collect all of the Cores you can get your hands on. Ultima is the only real move that I see producing even a little more than his average EX force per attack. Genji sets works well yes, the only problem with Kefka is probably going to be keeping his EX mode enduring longer. So basically you just keep sniping with his wild attacks while finding cores. Hope this helps
I'm not pro with Kefka but I use this technique for Ulti when I'm just sniping with Knight's Axe/Arrow and it can basically get me EX mode and keep me endured for a long time so long as I just grab the core whenever it appears.

ECF>chase is the best EX Force producing option kefka has. A core build would be much better

I found the best way to use it is right after you use WWF to help create more random chaos for the oppenent to focus on and therefore increasing your chances of landing WWF(works wonder's on AI). If your still at mid range after WWF you can easily pop off one 'tap' of ZTT without fear of punish np. Plus if foe blocks when you use it they'l normally block the bolt allowing WWF to land.
