What would be the best way to produce a kind of image like the stream that flows across the screen on the PS3's default background. You know, the one that looks like a stream of light waving across the screen.
Also, how would I be able to make something like Kuja's burning embers when he is in EX Mode. I'm going to be using a black background so I want to make it looks like the burning embers are illuminating tiny parts of the sig.
I'm also using Photoshop btw
Please and thank you.

Hmm... Here's an idea.
Start off with a nice gradient background. It's found under the paint bucket so mess with that until you find a transition you like.
Next, take the pen tool and make a wavy path along the 1/3 line from the bottom of the image. Right click the line, select stroke and if you happen to like the effect check 'simulate pen pressure' although it'll look fine if you don't.
Then...Ah, I know. Create a new document about 500x500 and fill it with black. Create a radial gradient that's in the center of the document, it doesn't matter what color. Duplicate the gradient and make the new layer a hard light. Then create another layer and make some black/white or grey/white render clouds. Change the blending mode on the render clouds till you can't see the clouds on the black color of the layer below.
Make a circular selection of the 'orb' you created with the radial select and the shift+control keys. Create a new layer and fill the selection with white. Move this white circle to the bottom of the layers you created.
Make another layer and press alt+I then alt+Y. Take this layer and delete all the other ones except for your circle. His control+alt+G. Make ANOTHER layer and press alt+I/Y again. Use the move tool to move your orb back into the PS3 background and stick it wherever the hell you want.
Does that help?
