View Full Version : The original Dissidia's story in Duodecim

For those who have the Japanese version, does anyone know how the story scenario from the first Dissidia is incorporated in Duodecim? I've only heard reports that the original story is included, I'd like to know how it works exactly.

It seems impossible, didn't Dissidia take up nearly all of the UMD? Duodecim seems to have twice the amount of content so I'm really curious to know how this is even possible.

013's story will make use of the new world map. You get to choose each character's scenario like before, and you move around the world map with said character. The only difference between the new 013 story mode and 012's story mode is that in the dungeons, there are glyphs found on the panels which have varying effects.

And the cutscenes? Do they stay? I kinda would like to see the original Jecht vs. Tidus battle scene with Jecht nailing Tidus in the gut. If not, I guess I can pop in my old Dissidia game or look it up on Youtube.

All the cut-scenes from the previous dissidia is in there I believe.

Didn't they change/add anything to the story..?!?!?! ('change' does not include ''removed'' =P)

All the cut-scenes from the previous dissidia is in there I believe. That's what I've heard too. I just want to know how it's setup exactly... So you have to clear Duodecim's story before you can experience the story from the first Dissidia?

The reason I'm asking is a friend of mine is wanting to get into the series but he doesn't want to play them both, he just wants to get into one. Since the original story is supposed to be included in Duodecim, I'm thinking of recommending Duodecim to him since it has superior everything.

The most important concern for me is this:

In Squall's fight with Ultimecia in the 013 story, do you get to fight it out with Zidane as an assist while Ultimecia has Garland as an assist?
