I don't think I can find a better title so I think this should do.

Now getting to the subject...

For those who are anime otaku's like me and keep their list with ratings etc [this is especially for those who have's their anime list on MAL website...I've been wondering how many anime's that you watched you rated with 10. What are the trully masterpieces who made you cry when you felt the need to cry...ore the ones that made you laugh...and of course...the ones that was the worst you watched and rated with 1 or above?

Well just found a couple of secs ago for those who have's their anime list on MAL they can see their graph by accesing the following site

http://mathesnet.de/script/MALscore/

I hope all of you have's their list on MAL and can show the results here.

My result would be

http://mathesnet.de/script/MALscore/out/a/red/Kaze13.png

Only 9 animes that I felt were truly epic and rated with 10 from the almost 180 animes completed.

PS: I apologize if this thread is useless and make the mods to void this thread into nothingness >.<

Death Note: 10

Told an interesting and unique story. Had a beginning, climax and end. Thought-provoking and wonderful.

Panty and Stocking: 6

Some really shit episodes, a few amazing episodes. A mixed bag, but at least it had a beginning and conclusion. Entertaining and funny.

Magical Girl Puni: 9

Would be a 10 except this is one of the examples where it should have had more episodes. If it had more time, I'm sure it would have only gotten more amazing, and I can only fathom what an awesome conclusion this hilarious series could have had.

Code Geass: 2

Shitty ripoff of Death Note. It gets a 2 instead of a 1 because at least it picked a good series to try to ripoff.

Monster Rancher: 3

Better than the ones below mainly because it doesn't drag on ad infinitum. Still shit.

Pokemon: 1

Formulaic, cheesy and tedious. The adventures of unaging retard and his random female friends is extremely uninteresting. The comic relief villains who fail hard in the same exact way in all 10,000 episodes aren't interesting either. It's really a shame that the anime is not based on the Pokemon Adventure comics, which introduce new protagonists in every gen, manage to somehow tie all the stories together, create great personalities for the characters and are just overall a million times better.

Digimon :1

Garbage just like Pokemon.

One Piece: 1 Piece/10 pieces.

Better than Bleach and Naruto at least.

Yugioh: 3/10

Yugioh gets a higher score than the others because it is unintentionally much funnier. The thing that makes Yugioh different is that it takes itself much more seriously, with the main character yelling "OBLIVION" and literally annihilating people after they lose. It wins points for spawning the yugioh abridged series, which is a pretty great parody and other silly stuff like "CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES." Otherwise the anime is still bullshit though.

Bleach: -15

Worst writing ever. I docked 10 points off just for the Azn plot twist where Azn somehow didn't die earlier on but was the true villain all along!!!111

Narutoad: -10

Shitty anime with no redeeming intellectual value for children .

Fist of the North Star: 7

Manly anime, but kinda formulaic.

Dragon Ball: 7

Pretty funny and interesting. Good villains and humor. Entertaining.

Dragon Ball Z: 6

Lots of good, lots of filler. A mixed bag like Panty and Stocking, but just like P&S, it's worth watching for the good.

Avatar: 0

why does this exist?

Vinland Saga: ----

why doesn't this exist?

Powerpuff Girls: 8

Fantastic. Humorous, great villains, great main characters. Great character development and story telling.

Souten Kouru: 8

I like Three Kingdoms stuff and the characters in this were pretty cool. But I only watched some of it. The good thing about an anime like this though is that since the story is based on something, you know it won't drag on forever.

Lucky Star: 1

Lucky to get a 1.

K-On: K-One more like it.

Neon Genesis Evolution: 0

Pretentious hipster shit that tries to be more deep than it actually is.

Koutetsu Sangokushi: 3

I wanted to like this shit. It's an anime about the Three Kingdoms hero Lu Xun, probably the greatest general of the kingdom of Wu. It ended up shitting all over significant three kingdoms characters and somehow making Wu seem even more generic than they're usually portrayed. 3 for effort to portray something from a different perspective.

Ikkitousen: -7

lololol wats fanservice?

Full Metal Alchemist: 0

Terrible.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: -10

Jesus Christ this anime was awful. Really the idea of the main character being a goddess of destruction unwittingly has so much potential, but they fudged it up by making it some slice of life fanservice bullshit. Tried to parody a bunch of other things and failed hard at being funny at that as well.

Inuyasha: -15

Pretty much one of the worst animes ever created.

Yatterman: 4

Yatterman is pretty laughable actually, and the first few episodes might even be entertaining. It either created or popularized a whole lot of anime archetypes that appear in children's anime like Pokemon. In fact the way the anime is incredibly formulaic is pretty damn similar to Pokemon. Every episode involved Doronjo and goons coming up with a new robot to challenge Yatterman 1 and 2, which always fails when Yatterwan unleashes its secret attack. That having been said, the fact that every episode is the same is a bad thing rather than a good thing, even if it was inspirational to other animus. So it still sucks. The characters are memorable though.

Darkstalkers: LOL/10

Ika Musume: Squid/Ocean

Sanada Juyushi: 7/10

I can recommend this extremely short anime for people who like samurai. The first three episodes portray the Battle of Sekigahara and Siege of Ueda Castle iirc and make it very entertaining.

Overall: If you want to make an anime that doesn't suck, it should have an ending instead of dragging on forever. Neverending animus just lead to dismal filler and awful plot twists.

I was joking with Powerpuff Girls actually. It's not an anime but the characters are drawn in very animu style. same with avatar.

Was serious about Death Note though. It is excellence. Death Note has its flaws. CapNCrunch and I had a discussion about it before. Misa Misa was a badly done character who should have been a third pivotal check to Light and L, but instead ended up being a joke. Some of the latter characters like Mello and Matt were horribly fleshed out, to the point where Matt enters the fray only to get shot to death shortly afterward. L was a little bit overly eccentric.

In spite of all these flaws, it still told a much better story than most animes, stuck with a great, suspenseful theme and had an epic ending. So it may not be perfection, but I don't think something needs to be perfect to get a 10. Just superior to anything else in the medium.

Magical Girl Puni would easily be a 10 if it lasted longer.

For me, i've never delved too deep into criticism on anime, because it's one of the few things I dont hate, I think the only exception to this rule is Naruto.

I despise Naruto with a passion.

There we go. The reason I have mostly 10s is that if an anime is subpar, I just don't watch it. Thus I don't list it, and I subsequently don't rate it. And as much as it feels wrong putting an anime like Madoka or KnK in the same rating bracket as Mushishi or K-ON, I gave a 10 to any anime that kept me watching on release day every week (since I'm usually lazy and don't really watch it until it piles up)

For those who are interested, Here's my list. (http://myanimelist.net/animelist/Ghurdrich)

I actually didn't know I had that many tens. Heh. So I decided to take a look at my ratings to see what I actually did give a ten:

Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Easily my favorite anime ever and quite possibly one of the greatest fictional stories ever told. I don't even exaggerate on this. I find it funny how despite the fact that it has 100 characters each with their own voice, each character is far more well developed and more interesting than the main protagionists other series of this magnitude. LoGH really has everything from political intrigue to dirty jokes, from romance to guys getting cut in half, weapons from lazers to axes. There are multiple levels of story always happening simultaneously with a balance on the military, political, and personal. The show just covers a ridiculous amount of ground and handles every single aspect better than pretty much everyone else who has ever wrote a story. Even in at about 110 episodes, I'd call you a douchefag for not wanting to watch this or watching and not thinking it's good. Totally recommended.

Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen: This should be watched completely seperate from the main animu series. My mind is totally blown by how immensely different this is from the main series, and in a good way too. The main series is basically the same shounen crap you'd get from the likes of Narutoad and Bleach, which is ironically the complete opposite of the tone of this OVA. The tone of this is much more adult oriented and there's far more maturity and depth when it comes to the storytelling and character development. While the story itself isn't particularly unique in some ways, the intriguing thing I found with this series is that the protagionist is an idealistic youth who's purely fighting in what he believes in, but because of the era, environment and circumstance that he is in, his complete personality undergoes at 180 degree overhaul into a hardened hitokiri, in order to shut away his emotions from the pain of killing people. Yet he continues killing for the sole belief that he truly believes that he is ushering in a new era for the weak to live in. The depth of characters never failed to dissapoint me and the sword fights and animation were mesmorizing. Totally recommended.

Hokuto No Ken: Pretty much the manliest show in existence. The show actually has a pretty terrible story, but the fight scenes, characters and scenes in this animu were absolutely amazing. There's just so many memorable and awesomely cheesy moments that it's hard not to love. I don't particularly think it's good, but it's more or less just a personal rating for myself. Also, it has one of the most awesome Op ever!

Hokuto No Ken 2: Same as above

Kara No Kyoukai 5: On its own it's kinda hard to rate because you really need to watch the previous movies to understand what's going on but I found this particular movie to hit right at home on me. Personally, I don't think Kinoko Nasu or the Type-Moon universe he has created is at any good. I only care about in the "so bad it's good" sorta way. This movie, though, I thought was legit good. While a lot of people are actually fairly mixed on it, I thought the movie developed its characters quite well, had superb animation, great characters, memorable scenes and an atmosphere and soundtrack which I felt added a lot to the feel and epicness of the movie. The movie felt like a pretty conclusive end to the series for me, though, and I can't imagine why they'd want to make more of them. I really can't imagine how bad 6 & 7 are :/ . As such, I'll just stick with this movie as the acceptable ending to the series. I'm not sure if it's really something I'd totally want to recommend, but perhaps it might be worth watching if you feel in the mood for something odd and unique though perhaps not good in certain people's tastes.

Cowboy Bebop: Definitely a highly regardedd classic and rightly so. Cowboy Bebop strikes a perfect balance between being episodic and story based, starting with several unrelated, yet enjoyable events then turning to character backgrounds and finally ending with a string of episodes telling the truth and end of Spike's story. It is worth to mention that all the episodic episodes manage to entertain and interest you without leaving you restless for the next story segment which is truly large piece of breath air. Not only do the characters have all the required character depth and more, it is also presented in a believable way, making their personalities truly come alive on the screen. Also it deserves extra points for its awesome jazz soundtrack.

Samurai Champloo: This is quite similar to Cowboy Bebop in its episodic nature, only replace the setting of space with Samurai and Edo era Japan and replace the soundtrack with hip-hop. What I find great about Samurai Champloo is that it manages to blend both comedy and drama into different episodic arcs and still make the series entertaining thoroughly enjoyable without being jarring and hard to throw away your suspension of disbelief. In one arc you'll have a bunch of European foreigners who come to try to conquer Japan with the solution to decide this being baseball, then you'll have an arc about Jin's past and the reasoning for why he's labeled a murderer which is relatively intriguing. While the tone for both of these arcs are completely different they are excellantly well done and never feel out of place out its surreal and anachronistic version of Edo era Japan. Totally a must watch.

Mars of Destruction: I actually gave this a ten for trolling purposes. It's well known for being one of the worst animes ever and it definitely deserves that reputation. Albeit, it doesn't mean it's not worth watching considering it's hilariously bad!

Mushishi: An extremely eloquent and beautiful anime. It's episodic but eachale feels like you're being told a great mythical tale and the concept of Mushi is well played in that they're not made out to be some evil race of monsters trying to kill mankind, but rather, they're just a part of nature and merely trying to survive just like every other living being in nature. The stories are very malancholic and well told, and leave you with thoughtful feeling in yourself. A lot of people compare it to Kino's Journey, which is also a great anime, I personally prefer Mushishi because I like the mystical elements of its stories more and the stories felt more complete to me.

Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei: I find this series terrific. Even if you don't find the jokes in the show funny, I found that it was great how there was a sense of social commentary in the show how any point of view when taken to its extreme leads to either ridiculousness or a lack of comfort. The presentation and overall execution of its jokes are great even if it's a bit repetitive at times. Totally enjoyable show.

Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo: As impossible and cliché time traveling is, it can still be used as a brilliant plot device, if used properly. This movie is a perfect sample of proper use of time traveling, where it is brought into an otherwise realistic setting without seeming misplaced or silly. Instead of focusing solely on the concept of time traveling, it remains more of a foundation that the main part of the story, that is the characters and their unusual daily life, is built atop. Totally recommended.

Seirei No Moribito: By no means is this a light-hearted series, but it doesn't feel overly dramatic and it was very easy to find yourself emerged in the world and its characters. It doesn't focus so much on action that it gives up areas of the story, and it never lets the story become so bland that you get bored of watching. It's an interesting show to watch and the pacing of the show, as well as the slow delve into Balsa's past, serve to ensure that you keep watching. Although the plot may be simplistic at times, this isn't really a show that suffers from it, especially as the show itself is more character driven than anything else. Definitely recommended.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Honestly, it's hard to recommend this show. Personally I found the intriguing aspects of the show came from the mental disorders of each character and the symbolic elements thrown in for the viewers to interpret. Many people really don't like the symbolism in the series as well as the silly aspects of the plot such as the mecha and I suppose somewhat mindless action which is fine, I guess. But personally I thought there was a lot of depth and thought put into its symbolism and the way that the characters developed and are treated within the least 7 episodes is absolutely terrific even ignoring the pacing issues. While not something I'd think everyone will like, I think it's probably worth a watch just to see what you think of it.

In the spirit of not getting my ass busted by making a duplicate topic, I decided to dig this dead one instead.

Here's my list (http://myanimelist.net/animelist/artykun).

It's very cluttered and irregularly updated. Look at all those 7s, 8s, and 9s. I am disappoint in myself. >_<

And I only have, what, four 10s?!
Baccano - show doesn't even have a plot; that's how awesome this series and its characters are
Bartender - the best show nobody's ever heard of
Denpa Teki Na Kanojo - as just a 2-episode bonus special bundled with Kurenai DVD, I like this MUCH better than the main series; too bad it's scrapped
Steins;Gate - just see the S;G topic I made to see how much I love this show

Latest update I did was for the Blood-C anime. I gave it a 4/10. The reason I stuck with it till the end is that it promised and made you believe somehow that it'd get better in the next episode. It never did. The 4 can be easily justified:
1. S
2. A
3. Y
4. A
If you're gonna watch this show, heavens forbid, then you'll probably be watching it only for Saya.

Seriously, this show left such a bad aftertaste that I'm telling you all about it now. Gory, violent killings and blood fountains can only entertain you for so long (dat episode 12). That said, I'm looking forward to the movie as it looks like it'll be much better than the series as a whole.

P.S.
Err, the graph thing doesn't work for me. =/
