Ex Burst Timing?

Sorry if this is a noobish question, or if it's already been asked. But what is the current timing on the input during "To The Farplane"? Or more specific, what would help me get the timing down better?

The proper timing is to hit the button shown when the circle hits the outside of the button shown.

When the Circle get smaller and it coincide with the glowing part outside the shown button press it and you should have no problem.
