I've read the stickie threads but I'm not understanding it. Or rather I can't understand why my Lightning L.100 is losing to L.80 foes. What could I be doing wrong?

Currently my Lightning is equipped as follows:

Level 100
370/450 CP

Equipment:
Royal Swordsman Blade
Precious Watch
Magepower Shishak
Mirage Vest

The optimize option saying I should use Heike's Shield instead of Precious Watch. But that will lower my HP from 9730 to 9427 and raise my DEF from 138 to 165. Not worth it to me.

I could only beat 000 Cotc with cheat codes, but normally my brv does 25 or so damage while the computer lands 400 or so damage. I only have this problem with high level characters. Just got myself a copy of DDFF, already played 250 hours on an iso mainly because of the modding but I decided I should support SE a little since they are not doing too well so I bought a (new) game the other day.

Anyway I booted up my psp this morning and my god that game's loading speed is slow as hell. I had a bunch of other games on my mem stick I'm playing atm so I haven't tried data install.

So yeah, would a UMD+data install give me the same speed as an iso or would an iso always be faster? Note: this was made for people who have a hard time beating feral chaos, hence it's in the guide section. if I get one more -rep or a comment saying this method is lame I guess it means noone needs this guide and I will delete this thead.:(

Second note: XP>bravery works as well, but this method is more fool proof since you basically only need to hit him once outside the ex revenges and don't even have to dodge. :rolleyes:

The other day I did a feral chaos run and for the first time I did it with only one character (Cloud).
Unfortunately it took longer than 10(or 15?) minutes so I couldn't save my replay. :(

So I decided to do another run and make sure to do it in less than 10 minutes so I could save the replay.
Made a special setup and ended up killing the basterd demon in just under 30 seconds.

If you're interested in the setup this is what I did.

- Iai-strike build
- Instead of the last chance equip and chocobo feather for 100% extra xp (you will need it for the semi-final blow).
- important: Make a special ruleset with HP wall rush damage set to maximum.
- Equip Alexander (non-auto)
- Equip ability xp to EX, slashing blow with omnislash link and braver.

Now start the fight, hit triangle + R to dash towards feral chaos (and get airborne), use Slashing blow and link to omnislash. Now just when you do the last hit in the omnislash action use Alexander, you should have 9999 bravery for as long as the summon lasts. If you're a little too late you will have 0, if you're too early you might not be able to kill him in time, so time it right.
After that he will probably charge you with a bravery attack, don't dodge, just wait until he hits you and use ex-revenge, now quickly use braver. You will end up with a full ex bar once again, so repeat.
After 3 blows he's down to 13K hp. Might sound good but this is actually a problem because if you hit him now you will do [FC current hp-1] damage, giving you too little xp for a full ex bar. So that's why you need the chocobo feather, with that you will have a full bar after hitting him.
Also before you land the 4th blow your summon will have stopped working so he might do some bravery damage, but that doesn't matter because you only need to do 13k damage and you will probably break him as well.
After hitting him a 4th time, assuming you have the chocobo feather equipped, you will have a full ex bar to hit him again.

Note: When it says you do 9999+9999 damage, that is actually incorrect. 9999 is the max base HP damage you can deal but wall rush damage can go way past that, you are actually doing 9999+27464 damage for a total of 37463. Not too bad right? :P

I have use several youtube videos where people would use simular techniques using ex revenge, alexander etc, I just perfected it a little with adding the chocobo feather and delaying the use of Alexander. So I pretty much did nothing now except for adding an accesory.
