No, it's not easy, at least for me it's pretty difficult, so I guess it will be pretty much impossible for someone that has never played around with the game's code. I do have tools that automatize most of the process, but I haven't decided how to publish/sell them.

Yes, new animations can be done, also specific voices for different outfits, new names, even more DLC (characters + BGM), change ingame text, add DLC to the ISO, new DLC assists, etc...
