Instead of dodging out, blodge out during the first possible frame. It cancels any accidental chase sequence that might happen. All thats left after that is your positioning.

Lag is always present to some extent as long as you're connecting online. The connection quality really depends on who you're playing and how far away from each other you are. There could be consistent lag or lag spikes. Also, Adhoc's netcode is worse than other games I've played. You kinda have to adapt to lag since most of the community has to play online.

lol adhoc lag was extremely jarring for me at first

I use the stick. I had to use the d-pad at one time and I just couldn't play like that.

I've noticed some assists can combo off of SC in the middle of the attack. Faster ones like Tidus are the best for that. Yuna would require being near the ground to combo off of. Jecht or Kuja speed assists require really good reaction time on top of landing the beginning of the attack, so they're not exactly reliable for SC.

For AST comboing SC close to the ground, I find it most consistent when above them and they're very near or on the ground. Iirc Kuja's ground assist is too slow to combo off of if you call him after chase.

That's great to hear! Let me know when you're able to play online, it's always nice to have more competition.

The problem might be dust in your analog stick. What worked for me was pushing up on the stick 3 times, lifting the stick up with my fingers, and blowing into it. Move it around while raised up to reach more areas. If you have alcohol swabs or cleaning alcohol + thin q-tips, those can help as well.

Indeed. I haven't really played Kain since the JP version so I doubt I can be of much assistance. Being able to control his T-Dash's direction does give you a few more options, though.

If I may ask, what's the problem with your analog stick?

And I'm curious. Do you play Dissidia online?

That's not a dumb question at all. The crit rate is 100% while your BRV is recovering to base value. Although, the first couple of hits don't always crit in assist combos for some reason.

I'm glad I could be of assistance. It's always a pleasure to see more Cecil players. Keep at it! It really seems like you're enjoying yourself, haha.

No problem lol. SL getting Sneak Attack crits is indeed handy. To do Sacred Cross during the ground Kuja assist, get above him and perform SC when Kuja pulls the opponent towards him. You may already know this, but you can do Luminous Shard during the second part of Kuja's ground assist and then do Radiant Wings after the assist chase for full crits.

No, I haven't. I knew you could do Sacred Cross while Kuja stuns them, which does about the same amount of damage as 2 SL but creates 90 EX. If you're using Side By Side, then the extra EX can only help the opponent. Anyway, what you shared is good info to know. Having different options is always nice to make the most of a situation.

About MetalxTempest
Biography:
I mostly play transformers wfc with my clan the Metal Crew on Xbox 360. But I enjoy fast paced games in general. In particular those that reward players for precision, creativity and fast reflexes. I'm a casual dissidia 012 player that is captivated by the potential challenge online pvp presents. If I had a PS3 I would pour most of my time into this game. I have a couple of friends I play against regularly but I would like to face some 012 elites. As the metals say "To be the best you must beat the best". Your skill in anything will reach an inevitable cap without the challenge of something greater. In gaming that could be a harder difficulty or an opponent that is your better. When I get a PS3 I hope to play some of the greats i've been studying. Till then keep the challenges coming and keep this community active.
