Not really, Shield Bash is faster than braver. At close range if SB is activated first then you'll either get hit or both of you will stagger.

Unless you're talking about firaga...

I dunno but I think the things that blade beam can do, double cut can do it as well..well not maybe the guard stagger and the range attack but double cut also has the same ex force generation as blade beam plus it's safe because it's fast and can also lead to chase on top of that it can initiate assist combos. If you already have firaga, why would you equip blade beam? I believe firaga is much faster can also guard stagger and definitely much stronger though it lacks the range blade beam has.

Anyways, this is not the right thread for blade beam so I'll stop this and maybe I'll try to use it and figure out what it's good for.

Fire get sorta close to Firion braver as soon as the fire touches shield bash honestly we need to test this rather then theory this is just one of those type of things you can't really use theory on =c. Discuss this in cloud's general discussion if you wanna continue further o3o.

I see Blade Beam as Cookies stated before, a pressure tool. It's not really much use other than that. The wind up is slow as hell (37f) and it can be double blocked. Only point blank is it useful, but at that range, you may as well use Firaga for the guard stagger if that's all you use it for. The chase/ex building is the only other thing useful about it imo.

I think a new thread is not necessary since I think I'm the only one who doesn't know blade beam's capabilities. You can just send me a private message on what are it's pros and cons, it's uses, application in battle(aside from being a long-mid range poke).

Cookies, Cookies, Cookies... Fire takes a tremendous amount of skill to use in 012! Cloud is a much better fighter with FAD equip, meaning he cannot shift the opponents camera view with Multi Air Slide, and OGD as easily as he could with OAD's speed in DFF. Also, with the addition of assist punishing for the slow start up and cooldown of Fire, it makes it hard to get a fire off just regularly. Another thing is ALOT of character use FAD, and dash through fire.

Even with all these changes I still prefer to use Fire in some of my match-ups. Pairing it with the right moveset is essential as well.
