I agree i don´t like ditching ex, i never use assist builds.
But since im a offensive player most times i don´t have assist to scape hes combos.
But i guess that in tournaments having EX is a must for Jecht, + like you said before, being able to continue hes combos even when they dodge is always nice.
Perfectly summed up Veysey and nice PvP tips, just one thing though, Starfall cannot be blocked. It is an "Unblockable" and even Exdeath cannot Omniblock it, apart from that bravo for the work and the details you put in your post !

Spoiler:
You're right, his EX is good, but I haven't ran it in a while, but I may try an EX build soon. Also, the machine build is nice, but he needs some help with that hp somehow as you said. I may make a section on Builds soon.
Also, as I said, concentration++ is experimental and I haven't used it in PVP, but its probably no good. It was just a thought that I haven't got around to trying yet, so I may take that part out or at least mention what you said about the cons of using it.
Also, as far as I can tell, braver is unblockable, as when you do block it, Jecht will stagger back, but Cloud will continue the animation and hit you, maybe I'm not doing something right. Also, the other attacks are only what I've read on the 'Jecht block in Dissidia 012' thread so I havent tested them all myself. I will revise that part probably later when I get home.

Hmm, ok well Ill do some more testing next time I play with my cloud friend or maybe a cpu if I can get him to do it lol.
This is a work in progress, after all. Thanks for your input guys.
On a side note, though, braver cannot be blocked by Exdeath's Omni Block either. My friend was telling me he had a hard time against a good Exdeath online until he started using braver alot and it went through the block every time in the same manner I described as with Jecht Block.

Then sorry but that Exdeath must NOT be good at OmniBlocking since it steamroll Braver anyday anytime, perhaps the online lag or mistimed OB attempt made him believe that Braver could get through it but it can't, Braver is the same as Rough Divide, Dragon's Fang and every other physical HP attacks, it has Melee High priority and a good Exdeath will make you regret ever using this move against him seeing as how it is slow but this is no exdeath thread so i'll stop here =P
Anyway I may don't look like it but I think your Guide is rather Good ! You put effort in the presentation, image hosting and everything and that's a loooot of work so props to you ! The only things that bother me are the little mistakes here and there (like Reel axe staggers Jecht, Braver etc) and it lacks one thing rather important .. A video !!! Nothing explains Jecht combos input better than that imo =) I actually learned to play as him with a youtube video back in DFF. Otherwise as I said before great work and effort.

Hey thanks man! But yeah its a work in progress ill probably add a "Now your nailin it!' How to combo' section. I plan to revise it with you guys' input even though I thought I fixed the part on jb staggering with ranged attacks but I may not have.
I also saw a great video on how to do each combo with slo mo replays showing how to do it which I may borrow with the owners permission. A video is a good idea though.
Got some more ideas I might add in later tonight.

At this point, I'd suggest just putting the posts up down here and let people discuss the content. We'll help you work out the kinks and when everything feels right, create a new topic where you properly reserve the posts you need, input the information, we'll sticky the new thread and I'll deal with this one.
For now, though, I think it'd be best to do more research and get all your information together. Possibly even completely write the guide, post it for critique in here, make some revisions, etc and then put the official thing up when you know it's your best work and you wont need to do much (if any) editing.
Find me in the IRC and challenge me! I'd love to play against you!

Updated the Assist section
“Yeah, I don't need your help!” Assisting the Blitz King
Sephiroth: Sephiroth is a good assist for Jecht; his ground and air brave attacks are basically the same, last a while, and have long range. You can wait it out then use the assist chase to do another combo or an HP attack. You can also, if you're fast, hit your foe with Jecht Beam while they are being hit by Seph, then have enough time to do the assist chase.
Kuja: He is also a nice assist for Jecht, though I just can't quite get past the character design. (Thong Prince. o.O) He does have highest damage potential and a pretty long combo. If you know what you're doing, you can jump and catch them in the air after the combo is over or you can just wait for the assist chase. Its also possible to hit them with Jecht beam during the combo and then use the assist chase just as you can with Sephiroth, but it is a bit harder as Kuja moves the enemy around a bit as he hits them.
Warrior of Light:
Pretty solid assist with a mediocre ground attack. His air attack is where he shines. Warrior of Light's Rising Buckler has great verticle reach. He can catch a foe easily after a wall rush or during a Stream/Rush, right before they get knocked down or up and Jecht can easily continue the combo.
Terra Branford:
While her blizzaga spell is ok for assisting, graviga is much better. For instance, a Jecht Rush, with the upward finisher (or even a whiff in the middle) can end with a graviga bringing them crashing down, ready for more beatings. While this isnt so damaging as some others, it is very satisfying to do and graviga has good enough tracking that it will follow your enemy half way across the bigger stages.
Onion Knight:
I've seen some great Onion Knight assists with Jecht. His assist combos are somewhat complicated but very rewarding. To name a few, you can use Jecht Stream, use the downward input on the last branch of the combo, then use Jecht Beam and call your assist. The beam will miss, but Onion Knight will come up, pushing your enemy upwards with his blade as they run into Jecht beam, then he will finish the attack and you can assist chase and continue your combos. Another is similar to this, but with Onion Knight's blizzard attack, and you use Jecht beam in the middle, connect, then use the assist chase to continue. Most of their combos are this way, you can find more examples on YouTube. Somewhat complex, but very good for long combos and wowing your opponent.
Cecil Harvey:
Cecil is another good one, as he is good at catching foes in the air and has high damage output. The strategy is basically the same as with Warrior of Light, except you don't have to catch them, just wait for them to fall to the ground and hit them. His Hps are also good and his ground brave assist can be good but hard to follow up with. He is viable but overall, he's probably the least recommended. Mainly because of his ground brave attack, and its VERY easily punished. You can only use him when your opponent is in the air, when you wall rush them in the air, or right when you knock them down, catch them with Cecil right before they hit the ground and then rush down there and be waiting once he hits the ground. Not entirely recommended but his air brave attack is very damaging for an assist and his Hps are quite good.
Also added this:
“Now you're nailin' it!” Combo Execution
Contrary to popular belief, being able to execute the combos do not make the Jecht player. Learn all the other things first and the combos will come later. Even if you spend most of your time whiffing combos and then using Jecht Beam immediately after, as long as you know how to play Jecht, the rest will come. And when the combos do come, your Jecht will become the raging berserker he was always meant to be and your enemies will tremble at your might as they try to decide whether they want to fall by crushed guard, bad dodge, or a broken through attack. O.o
Here is a video I found that I used to reacquaint myself with the combos on Dissidia 012, and its great. It shows all the combos as well as finishers with slo-mo replays as well as some captions to help you learn. All credit for the video goes to TheMushroomXIII.

And revised the Unblockables section:
So far, the consensus is that all attacks are blockable except Starfall. Attacks from above such as Jump, or Hell's Gate can be blocked. Braver can also be blocked. Attacks from below, however, are questionable, such as nightglow. With nightglow, you can block the absorbing portion of the attack and cause both players to stagger. The actual attack, though, is still in question. If anyone can confirm this that would be great.
