Sephiroth is better played as a punisher rather than a offensive-in-your-face character. Without SF, you're stuck at predicting, and playing turtle. SF is the core of Sephiroth's punishing game. I've seen people people argued that Sephiroth wouldn't be as good as he is without SF.

And here I thought after watching the first minute the Godspeed Sephiroth was giving you a run for your money. Too bad it goes downhill after minute two.
Oh well. I've already started Omni training so I guess I should start SF training as well.
Subs: Gabranth, Leon (Squall), Lightning, Jecht
Mission Points: 0
the match would end quicker if you actually spammed sf instead of rushing him

Dear all, your all comments are great learn.
Now I finally see that Sephiroth character is built with SF as important weapon.
Previously I played with FAD & sephy fighting style becoming different,(straight to opponent &agressive)which put SF in not-so-important role. Below are the FAD fight records:
Now with OAD, Sephiroth movement's probability is an infinity. And SF can be used as per pleased to intrique a combo. And all is 100% depend on us. The first time in my life I started to use Sephy in relax, and starting to control the game (Also my first time to see my online enemy sudenly cutting the AdHoc connection for "spamming too many SF" ..LOL).
What I want to say is Sephiroth has to be played by using OAD to show his real capabilities.
Below is the incarnation from FAD to OAD battle records, and I am stick to it from now on..

This is the latest online battle I had in Japan's AHP with using the OAD. It is not actually connected to the OAD issue, but I have a question to discuss: "Why or how Cloud died?" Is a fast scene and can easily & wrongly judged, so pls see the video well.
Here's the short clip:

FYI, as a beginner in OAD I just beat a guy who's using Cloud and mocking Sephy's OAD w/ SF in AHP, vids is below:
It's a proof that OAD+SF rocks.

1. By using OAD giving better chance to win against stronger player. (just proofing it, see below)
2. But OAD needs experience and skill, being halfway in OAD (w/o mastering it well) will not lead to nowhere.
Try spam and spam shadow flare , when opponent FAD from you try with Scintilla or some wall rush abilities then assist , that's all i want to help..
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
sorry for my english.
That can easily be punished. You want to use scintilla to cover your dodges.
And as for assist you mainly wanna use that after using sudden cruelty. You dont want to just spam sf because they can assist punish you if they see a pattern. You want to whiff SC in the sf spam too.
Anyway back to the topic. I think FAD if your not sf spamming and OAD when you are sf spamming.
Using him with FAD even when your not sf spamming is still pretty risky though.
