The "Verizon modem" should not be the problem at all. And if you can make it in the rooms it means you set everything up right with the ethernet cable. This means you are using EU while the person who you are trying to connect to is using NA. gotta get NA or they get EU man :I

Wow, I'm surprised that's my only problem. Well considering my save is EU....

Anyone with EU willing to help me test out? I'll get NA just to test before I download a save or anything.

I tried out DDFF US, and same problem. People in my lobby can't see my card, and I can't see theirs. AHP still recognizes my PSP and everything else is the same.

Things to try:

Use the Fynn online lobby instead of Cornerlia. I used to be unable to see a friend's friend card in Cornelia, but we can see each other just fine in Fynn.

If it still doesn't work, try connecting through Group Battle instead. That usually solves most issues with not being able to connect in 1v1.

Will AHP give me some notification that my PSP is connected to the lobby? Will the PSP icon in AHP flash or something?

Gah, no luck. We tried Fynn and Group Battle. In the lobby both his PSP icon and mine were lit.

Looking at my connection stuff I have NAT Type 2 and my UPnP is Available. Other than that I'm not sure what to look for.

I'm gonna try making an EU PSN to download AHP. In the OP it said to lie about your location. I don't quite understand why, but it's worth a shot.

EDIT: This didn't appear to have any effect.


If anyone can give any more advice, that'd be great. I want to try my luck at the upcoming summer tournament.

Just a final plea for help before signups close. I'm open to anything, except at this point I don't have the means to access my modem's settings to port forward or anything like that.

Is your PSP's online channel set to 'Automatic'?

I'm not sure, is that in the PSP's Network Settings?

EDIT: Yes, it's on Automatic. I'm guessing both players need to be on the same channel for Ad Hoc to work?

I have no trouble connecting my PSP to my PS3. The icon in the AHP houses lights up to tell me my PSP is connected. I just can't see other people's friend cards and they can't see mine.
