Aww yeah, Type-Moon powerlevels. This discussion is going places, and will definitely end.
The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood.
Only a fool would take anything posted here as fact.
Well lets look at their strengths and weaknesses.
Zero Berserker
- A in N. Phantasm
- A in Strength
- A+ in Agility
- C in Mana
- B in Luck
- A in Endurance
Fate Berserker has
- B in N. Phantasm
- A+ in Strength
- A in Agility
- A in Mana
- B in Luck
- A in Endurance
So Zero has better reaction time but Fate is stronger. Besides that they are about equal except for in Mana and Noble Phantasm's, but I don't think we're counting Mana.
Let's look at some of their abilities starting with Zero
Spoiler:
Now Fate
Spoiler:
Now this match up comes off as Zero doing a solo run against the end boss of some RPG. Zero has the advantage of being able to fight smart while insane and his sword gives him a rank boost all around. As it stands, I give the fight to Zero. The fight would take FOREVER (Maybe) but Zero has the necessary advantages to win.
Now, if this was a fight without Mad Enhancements, Fate wins hands down because he gains access to all sorts of crazy shit that would floor Zero.

His ability allowed him to use a twig in his legend, he should be able to use anything. Used a random piece of pipe, after all. And yeah, what you said Nexus is what I think would happen. It'd be difficult, but, if each item affected by his NP counts as a different item, Zero Berserker could win.
And I don't mean Medea, I meant Fate Caster. It's logical to assume she should be able to do so, but I don't think she ever actually... you know, shows that she can. Which is what I was asking. And not sure there is an inopportune moment, unless you mean the Master of a Servant, could do that.
He was sane in his legend; he is not sane in Zero.
He used a random piece of pipe in melee; he did not run around throwing said pipe in order to grab another pipe that would be thrown.
et cetera.
Fate Caster is Medea...and there are inopportune moments; they spike up whenever Servants are fighting one another or are separated (as wasting Command Seals is another good tactic to follow).
I know that's who she is. But Saber is also meant to be Arthur, who was most assuredly not female. Unless Medea shows off mental influence of any sort... it's kind of hard to say she can actually do it, even if her legend says she can. Fate doesn't follow the legends exactly, and takes liberties.
Only issue with the inopportune moment bit is that... well, one on one, Caster loses, hard, most of the time. Unless she's swooping in to take out a weakened Servant, that is, but doubt it'd happen that easily. Makes me wonder how she did it in UBW.
Except that Medea does show off her mental influence talents (and even causes a few dead ends with it). And she isn't using it to take out a Servant - she's using it to remove the Master while the Servant is distracted. If it's Medea, she can use Atlas and then kill the Master before the Servant can properly react, and teleport as necessary (due to High Speed Divine Word).

Zero Berserker was able to tell the difference between the power and usefulness of the weapon he was currently wielding and the new one Gilgamesh threw at him, and he instinctively ditched the one in his hand to take over said new and improved NP. (The Novel clearly states he would drop weaker weapons for the stronger version when Gilgamesh was using GoB)
I think Zero Berserker would be smart enough in a fight with Fate to realize "Hey, this weapon isn't effective on my target anymore. Better ditch it and pick something else up" based on that. So yes, Zero would probably think "This pipe isn't good enough anymore, better throw it and get a new one."

Which doesn't prove either here nor there, Nexus. The point is that Zero Berserker would not go "Hey! I can use these pipes as ranged weapons against Heracles and run away while doing so!"
He is a master of battle is he not? Treat the broken pipes as Javelins and you got yourself ranged combat. better yet, Zero Berserker finds an assault rifle on the ground and he is suddenly head shotting Fate from the hip like a kid on CoD with an aim bot.

Well, I did ask if she did, and you just said she has all the magic someone in Greek mythology has, that's a bit different. But, I think this is just a situation we won't agree on, when it comes to Zero vs. Fate. I'm not saying Zero is going to flat stomp Fate Berserker, but... I see no reason why he would consistently charge a close-ranged unit when he's shown more reasonable thought than that so far, despite his Mad Enhancement.
