Death at the very end!?!?!

this happened after i beat the game and re-loaded it just to go after sephiroth again just for the fun of it. well when i got to the very very end were its just cloud vs sephiroth, sephiroth just up and 1 hit killed me out of nowere. so i was wondering has this happened to anyone before?
even to the very end sephiroth is on the very top of the food chain

It shouldn't, Cloud is meant to counter with Omnislash if you don't take any action.

Otherwise it's just use Omnislash.

I've heard it's possible to counter with a normal attack, killing him 1 shot anyway.

Must just be a glitch

If your character is a low level he can one hit kill you. You would have had to let him kill you though since your limit bar fills up before sephiroth has the time to attack.

Sephiroth has an attack of 0, and his attack is gravity based, so there's really no way he can kill you bar hacking.

i got distracted for a moment when it happened. all i noticed was sephiroth killing my cloud as i turned back to look at the screen.
and my cloud was i do believe lvl 92 or 93 when it happened.

did you have bad equipment or the standard "hax to the max" setup? how much hp did you have?

I don't see how a sword slash is gravity based, and I know for a fact he can damage you at the end since a few times I thought it would be funny to let him hit me to see how much damage he does (no I never used a gameshark on ff7.)

It is gravity based. IIRC he inflicts 15/16 of your HP. Balguna wasn't saying he couldn't damage you. It's impossible to be killed by him.

Maybe my game had just glitched or somethin because i know he killed me somehow. or maybe sephiroth got his revenge on my for kickin his butt the first time.
Odd thing is im playin ff7 right now tryin to max out knights of the round.
