Hi so I am new here, I look on the forum every so often to look up ways to be better and stuff and today I played a computer golbez. Near the end of the fight he did something extremely weird. he used nightglow and shot me to the top of the map and then followed me like he had used glare hand or rise wave. If any of you guys could figure out what happened it might be of benefit to you in a tournament or something.
OK so, you may have noticed some fishy stuff. my brave is at two thousand ish and my assist goes up dramatically. that is because the save i downloaded was hacked with one of every item and accessory. I downloaded a new profile because my old one got corrupted when i tried to delete a FC file. and i didn't feel like doing everything over again.
Also sorry if my playing seems noobish. I have yet to play online. ad hoc party is hard to use.

Looks to me that he had auto assist lock on
onwards
Not a glitch per say. If you have an attack that has a follow up (in this case, it could have been the brv he used or Cosmic Ray if I'm not mistaken), you can activate the follow up as long as the opponent is still in hit stun.
So an example I'm comfortable with is say Terra uses Meltdown and it's the slow one. If she sets off Holy and Meltdown hits but Holy doesn't, she can still send out flares to potentially hit with Ultima.
In this case, it looks like he uses Raising Wave (?) while on the ground as you're rocketing up to the ceiling and follows up while you're still in hit stun. It's normal and a few characters can get away with this trick.
Find me in the IRC and challenge me! I'd love to play against you!

Spoiler:
From what it looks like, the Golbez did a sort of link glitch using the wallrush from Nightglow. If you look, after you get hit by Nightglow, Golbez uses Rising Wave (?) as you're travelling towards the ceiling. When you take the wallrush damage, it confirms a hit for Rising Wave which allows Golbez to continue the attack as if it hit directly.
Ninja'd by Veysey.
Looks like a combination of two glitches actually. If you lock an assist with an HP attack (not by blocking the assist, but by hitting it), the cooldown for said move is completely cancelled. Golbez hit your assist and instantly cancelled into a brv link and pulled off a link glitch from it because you were still in hitstun (the high ceiling may have been a factor). No doubt it would be possible for him to cancel and charge Cosmic Ray in this situation as well.
Extremely situational, but very cool find.
This is exactly what happened. Hitting an assist (it seems to work more often with HP attacks) cancels all ending lag, allowing you to immediately cancel the cooldown into something else.
To be honest, I was kinda hoping this would stay mostly under wraps, ehehe.
EDIT: Lol @ the "smh" neg rep. How stupid.

Nice! I wasn't really paying attention until nightglow happened.
onwards
Usually at this point I would agree with you but duodecim has a thing for characters, well a number of their special move/move(s): linking onto the specific person or target for a set peroid of time before they go away like many others before me have said, a few characters I can relate back to is No.1 OK, Flare, even if the so called enemy somehow managed to manuever away even while he got hit once the flare still tracks him down and get's him for some strange reason, No.2 (unsure) firion when he unleashes his bow blast, except that's more like a mega flare, a small window to react. No.3 Terra/Bartzs Holy, even though terra's ex force her Meltdown is Deadly, launching two at the exact time that seem to follow the target path, most of her moves rely on inter-chase combos, ground or the sky. no.4 tifa but I doubt extremely doubt this would be another glitch like nightglow but it's possible.
You became a l'Cie, so now you're gonna marry this idiot? And you think I'm gonna buy that? Full points for originality. But, don't forget. If you really are a l'Cie, it's my job to deal with you.
