sadly, yes. Robodestroyer confirmed it yesterday afternoon with one of his youtube videos. Kinda pisses me off, actually. they got rid of Cloud no Infinite but kept this one?

Anyway, Cloud no Infinite was not better because it "LOOGZ LIKE OMNIZASH" or for it being in the air, it's better because it can instantly be chained to Omnislash Version 5 and automatically kill an opponent who gets caught by it. Garland's has no link attack. the vid you saw worked on cloud because cloud has the longest hitstun animation and has problems with getting hit by normally inefficient artificial combos.

Actually, being in the air instead of grounded IS pretty significant in this game given how often people in general are in the air in this game. Still, this is a good mindgame and it can teach people that you need to air camp Garland to be successful against him.

Cloud in the air is alot faster than garland on the ground. But cloud on the ground is as slow as garland
