What you need:
As usual, you will require a NA copy of DDFF and NA Ad Hoc Party. Those who would be willing to allow for their matches to be streamed will also require JP Ad Hoc Party. At least one member is required to be present in the #DDFFCasual channel on IRCHighway via mIRC or webchat. Webchat can be found above with the "IRC Chat" link in the header. It is important that at least one member be available in the IRC channel for stage striking and blind character picks. If there is no representative from your team on the IRC channel available, you will be disqualified.
Basic Rules:
-Official based ruleset

-Feral Chaos is banned
-Hacked accessories are banned
-Omega stages are banned
-Infinites are banned
Rage quitting will also be dealt with severely. If a replay cannot be saved due to a rage-quit, the offending player (and team) will be disqualified from the round and will be given the loss.
Sign-up procedure:

Sign-ups require the following things:
- The names of the two players participating
- The PSN accounts of the two players participating
- A team you represent/A team name
Exceptions will be made for single players. They should sign up in the same fashion, but omit the Team section of the sign-up. If you sign up as a single entrant and find a partner, please make a new post to inform me instead of editing your previous post. Editing the previous post may be missed. If single players are left at the start of the tournament, they will be paired up based on who shows up. If you do not want to forfeit a spot in the tournament, please be prompt. It is encouraged that single players try to get in contact with others who signed up individually and create teams without the need for random pairings.
Players who wish to participate must be eligible by Dissidia Forums standards (you are not currently banned, etc). I'd also like to request that participants be able to post in this thread at least once to confirm their participation. It is not necessary if you're a regular on the forum.
Tournament Brackets and Seeding
Brackets will be created via random seeding after the sign-ups close. Slots will be reserved for potential single teams, so some teams may earn first round byes via random seeding and who shows up. The brackets will be posted by 6pm EST on the 24th. The tournament begins at 7pm. Any teams who do not have both players available by 7:15 PM will forfeit their first round matches.
Match Procedure

The individual matches will take place in a best of 5 scenario using Round Robin (3) sets. The first two matches will be played, while the third is just a placeholder. It doesn't matter who you place in these slots, as someone should forfeit. The players who battle in Set 1 should switch opponents in Set 2. For example:

When a team reaches 3 victories, they win the match. If the score is tied 2-2 at the end of the second set, a third set is played with each team selecting one player to represent them in the tie-breaker match.
Stage Striking and Counterpick Procedures

Before matches occur, players from both teams should contact the TO responsible for their match. The TO will take you through the following procedure for stage striking and character selection:
Step 1: Both teams send the TO their character selection and order. (Example: Khell (Golbez), Kayarine (Firion)
Step 2: The TO will select a team and ask them to call a coin flip. The team that wins the coin flip will strike first.
Step 3: The winning team's first player strikes from the following list, sending their selection to the TO: {Order's Sanctuary, Pandaemonium Top FLoor, Lunar Subterrane, Prima Vista, Sky Fortress Bahamut}
Step 4: The TO will contact the other team's first player and trade stage striking until only one stage is left for the first battle. (Team A strikes, Team B strikes, Team A, Team B)
Step 5: The TO will then conduct stage striking for the second match, switching the strike order and participating players. The missing stage will be replaced with {World of Darkness}. This will repeat until a stage is chosen for the second battle.
Step 6: The TO will announce the stages and characters fighting in each battle to both teams, and they will proceed to start their battles.
After Set 1 is complete:
Step 1: The team who won the original coin flip keeps their player positions. (Example: Kaya and Khell won the first coin toss, so they stay in the same player order). Characters can still be changed. Both teams will send their blind picks to the TO once again.
Step 2: If a team is down 2-0, they select both stages for the upcoming set. In the case where teams are tied 1-1, the team who lost the original coin flip calls a second coin flip. The winner of the toss chooses whether they want stage choice for battle 1 or battle 2.
Step 3: The TO will announce the stages and characters fighting in each battle to both teams, and they will proceed to start their battles.
After Set 2 is complete:
In the case that teams are tied 2-2, both teams will blindly select a player from their team to represent them in the tie-breaker.
Follow the procedure from Set 1 for a single battle, using the original 5 stages for striking again.
Reporting Match Results

Saving Replays

We ask that participants save as many replays as are possible. We understand that there are exceptions (like matches that take too long). We would also like for participants to send in these replays in the following manner:

Regarding Disconnecting
If a match disconnects, players should attempt to pick up on the battle where they left off. If repeated issues are had, please bring it up with your match TO. In the case where matches cannot be completed between teams at all, TOs will vote on how to deal with the situation. We apologize if any of our decisions upset anyone, but keep in mind that we're also participants and need to keep the tournament running as smoothly as possible.
I mean, they have a week to sign up, but the early bird gets the worm. And since me and Zelphyr were first, all of you get to starve.
If all the teams are loft based (save kura being part of his own team which people should totally go ask him to join becuase it needs more members) this wont be as fun.
