Dissidia Tactics?

Exdeath would drive a tree, Yuna would ride a eidolon, laguna would just be on his fused raganok gun XD
WOL would ride on the light, and jecht would just run because his badass self doesn't need a ride ;D

Which of course is why Sephiroth plans to find other planets. He has to change rides frequently.

Yuna would probably get Valefor, Ixion, or Bahamut, specifically. Shiva and Ifrit seem like they'd make poor steeds. I'm leaning toward Valefor, personally. Jecht would get a whale, because whales are the most badass creature in the FF universe. Why else would Jecht become one when he becomes Sin?

Let's see...who else...Lightning can ride Odin, of course. The Emperor can get his cyclone (why not?), Cloud of Darkness can fly or something, Cecil, Kain, and Golbez can all pilot Red Wing ships, Bartz would ride on Boko, Terra can ride a Magitek armor (maybe Kefka too, though he has other options too), Zidane can get an air ship or whatever, Kuja can ride Bahamut or one of those silver dragons, Shanotto can ride a golem or something, and Gabranth can get an air ship named Hatred.

I'm not gonna bother with the other characters.

I once saw a hack of Tactics that re-created the opening battle outside the church. Only instead of Ramza you played Cloud, and the battle was against illusions of Sephiroth, Zack, and Aeris.

They even hacked the text spoken and animations, it look quite impressive.

Surely this is possible with Dissidia?

(I should note this is the psx version. Apparently it's impossible or much less easy to hack tactics.)

Given that I've been playing tactics-type games recently:

Instead of becoming feral over the whole thing, please propose this to Square Enix and bug them until they finally say "Yes we'll make it!!! :3"

Well if square can't listen to their whole fanbase of people asking for a simple good ol' fashion final fantasy like final fantasy 3-10. If they can't fullfil that with this nitty shilly shally bull crap with final fantasy 11-14 then they sure as heck can't make a game like this you guys are talking about. I am not cutting down square, they are one of my favorite devs but right now they are going downhill, and hearing zipper going out of biz most likely, makes me fear that square is going to have to jump the boat and we'll never see another Final fantasy ever again considering that square isn't doing great now.
