Anime logic 64: in action animes when the main character is about to be hit with an attack that will more than likely kill him/her someone just has to jump in and block the attack. usually either killing them or putting them out of the series for while a while

Well yea but even heros that doesn't have that kind of power will still run and take a bullet or a stab to the heart. Either way yea that's still very true
