    Default One word... Journey...

Okay, so for the past three days, I have been playing this new PSN exclusive... My thoughts? Journey is in every sense of the word exactly what its name implies. It is a Journey that will take your breath away and is quite possibly one of the best game I have every played in my life (and now ranks as one of my top 5 favorite games of all time)... This game is like nothing you've ever played, and there is no game available that is like it. The closest game I could think to compare is Shadow of the Colossus, but even that is a stretch of a comparison.

The Soundtrack is serene, mystifying, epic, and perfect. Every moment of the game is so perfectly in sync with the sound and music that it makes the overall experience hard to put words to. It is perfection, that is the best I can think of to describe it. The visuals are breath-takingly beautiful and the atmosphere the game provides is like nothing you've ever experienced. You will lose yourself in the epic scope and surprisingly diverse levels that can be achieved in a desert setting. The story is told without any text, no dialogue, just visuals. The game never explains itself, sort of like how Ico and Shadow of the Colossus is presented, and is left open for you to interpret it yourself and the end of this game is beyond a doubt the best ending of any game (or any freaking piece of media) ever made.

The game is short, roughly 3 hours long and is meant to be played in one sitting. However, part of the charm is its ability to make you want to replay it over and over again. And every time you play through it (and you will many times, trust me), you'll notice something brilliant you didn't notice before that will further the experience. In just three days I've played it through 5 times, each time feeling more epic than the last. For $15, a three hour long game may seem overpriced, but it is not. This game is SO GOOD, you feel you're ripping off the developers for paying that little for this masterpiece. I recommend from the depths of my heart and soul that you buy this game and take a Journey. I may sound a little corny using the phrase "heart and soul" from that last sentence, but I have been so moved by this game. Even the words of praise I try to give it don't serve it justice. This game will change your life and your perspective on everything (and I am 100% serious about this).

So please take my advice. If you have a PS3, go download this game. Take a Journey that will change your perspective of what is possible in video games. If you like it as much as I do, please do you're best to tell others about it as well. Keep the word going, keep the Journey ever endless.

I did watch the trailer of this game, and it looked quite amazing, to be honest. I wonder if it's on PC......
It seems like one of those types of games where its unique style just captures your interest for the whole game.

    Playstation 3 Exclusive, sorry...

And yes, it is one of those games.

Also, in the time since I last posted, I played it all the way through again (totaling 6 playthroughs in the last 72 hours)... And I think I'll play tomorrow as well...

So, what exactly do you do, in the game?

Taking fiction from a good friend for facts is only natural.

Here is a review from Gamespot (video btw) that doesn't give anything away in terms of spoilers or the experience.

You move toward the mountain in the distance. Sounds boring, but trust me, it's all about the experience. You have the ability to glide as well and you get paired with random players online (they will be anonymous) should you wish to work together (but you don't have to). You can only communicate with chirps, but the whole thing is amazing. Even though the concepts here sound a little lame, they aren't. The game really is a deep reflection of human emotion. You will feel moments of joy, sadness, fear, and curiosity. You will likely get attached to your unknown friend as well, feeling some unspoken connection between you two in the Journey you travel together. Should the other player move off on their own (or advance faster/slower than you) you will get re paired with another random person. It is a forced concept that doesn't feel forced, it provide the opportunity, but it is your choice to take part in it. In fact, the most interesting thing about this game is it shows what kind of person you are (strange enough). How you move and progress through the game often speaks about your own personality (for good or worse; depending how you/others see it).

Again, it is not so much what you can do in this game, it is what the game will do to you. Words cannot describe some of the moments in this game. Things you never thought a game could make you feel will happen. The game is magical, one of a kind, and something ever person should play. Honestly, don't even think about what the game looks like or how it plays (think that way you might think it looked boring, and it is most definitely not this in any way shape or form), it is amazing and nothing can give justice to it (videos, descriptions, etc) unless you actually play it and experience it yourself.

Please buy this game everyone! You will not regret it.
