I uploaded some matches in Japan to youtube, please watch these replays and give your opinion.
Sorry for strange English but I want to discuss about DDFF with you!

Welcome to Dissidia Forums, tingojingo.
Great to see more diversity around our forums. You may wanna take a look at our tournaments section as we regularly host tournaments and such. Enjoy the forums.

Thanks, many replays in the forums gives new thought to me, I'm really fun!
In japan, we regularly hold the tournament called "rank-battle". Rank-battle's rule is different from official rules,we use same equipments and accessory, and we can't set the extra ability except "Just ~". EX force Absorption +15m,critical damage is only guard counter or after HP hit or guard punishing.
I uploaded some replays of rank-battle rule, I hope you enjoy new type DDFF playing.

I see. The replays of the "rank-battle" tournaments are indeed different than what we have, and it kind of reminded me of the old Dissdia Rules we had back in the first Dissidia. These days we run official ruleset and only ban hacks, infinites, and FC.
Watching these replays seemed that there was more graceful (forgiving) type of fighting; the player didn't have to worry about certain aspects (depletion mainly) and I didn't notice turtling strategies. I did find some interesting aspects to it as it allowed for room to be a bit more relaxed when playing as one did not had to think of consequences of a full blown play in official ruleset.
I really liked the use of Yuna as an assist for Sephiroth and I think she is a very smart choice these days as opposed to assists like kuja and jecht but she doesn't work that great for everyone.
It is also interesting and maybe you can shed some light on how you guys play in Japan and what attitude you take to the game. On DissidiaForums there is a great amount of differing opinion but we generally tend to allow for more and tend not to ban anything unless it is really "broken."
Anyway, keep us updated, and it is always great to see people take on Dissidia.

I agree with Draec, this is incredibly intriguing. I'd also like to know what kind of attitude you guys have when approaching the game, as well as what you do in the face of heavy odds like full EX meters or two assist bars.
Though apart, forever connected.

Thank you for your opinion.
These days this rule is popular in our community(maybe biggest in japan) for what you say, we don't need to think depletion, we can always absorb EX force without chase(sorry, I don't know the word of English version).
However, new matter is given rise in this rule. We don't have depletion so EX revenge is more serious threat.Depletion tend not to be used in japan, but I think EX depletion is necessary for certain aspect.
Also, this rule is severe for some character like terra and Golbez, who can't get EX force by themselves.
Perfect rule never exist, but we have fun in this rule now.

It took a while for most of us accept Official Rules as our main ruleset for tournaments. The ability of using builds which really help in some match ups (Sephiroth SF Spam) and the implying of summon for strategic purposes are our reason to use it. I am glad we finally see people from japan showing us how their scene might look like
Note: Depletion is needed in this game not matter what. Not depletion = highest chances of getting breaks with Ex Revenges, Ex Core-camping, supreme turtling and a lot other things we learned from playing OFF SKILLS in March 2011 that we really don't want to remember.

Yeah, I think depletion is good for defense. However we thought that HP attack by chase is easy(we can infer which brave or HP,but it's half and half), so there are a lot of depletion pressure, especially assist. People who propose this rule don't like this, they want to play only by player's move, not depend on chase, summon.
Sorry, what's is "supreme turtling"? I don't know this word.

"Turtling" is a general term used in fighting games to define the defensive style of gameplay. When a player "turtles," they try to minimize their risks as much as possible by not attacking and spacing themselves in such a manner so that their opponent's attacks missed. It's a style that basically says: don't attack until your opponent can be counter attacked safely.
In what RDF was saying above is that without any depletion, a player is forced to turtle (not attack) until he's safe. Without depletion, the player is at risk of being Ex Revenged or attacked after Assist Level 2 Change, so it forces him to turtle and wait for an excore or to build up his own assist bar without attacking the opponent.
With that said, the ruleset you are using has a familiar setup to what we've tried before in the previous game, DFF, so I'm sure it'll catch a few of the players' eyes around here. I could see why the Yuna assist is extremely popular; it becomes impossible to use most of the assists when your opponent gains two bars.

things. It isn't the mountain ahead that wears you out - it's the grain of sand in your shoe.

I see.In japan community of DDFF, there are a few people "turtling", I think. At the EX revenge, we earn the assist bar by unlock attacking and avoid EX revenge. To avoid EX revenge, there are a lot of way, like get higher brave(avoid brake) punishing by assist to HP attack.
Two bars problem, we have the EX gauge race. This rule is good at gathering EX force.
Anyway, I have just uploaded two videos. I play DMD rule with my friend.
This rule has a good reputation in our community. I made the introduce video, many people register it to their favorite list.
