The moves you're comparing it to are Hop Step (11F) and Strike Energy (17F). Hop Step is stupidly fast, yes, but Strike Energy and Jecht Stream are the same.

Oh yes, there are sometimes better situational assists. But in general, it's agreed that Jecht and Kuja are among the best if I believe

Sorry about that. It was the only fight I had on my youtube at the time and someone asked me to show a match where I did my best at assist punishing and this one was it. I have more close matches but I wasn't able to upload them in time. I'll upload more soon.

Great matches Terrina! I'm agreeing whole heartedly with the others, your dodge punishing with assist is quite impressive!I can't really get the hang of it, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I mostly have success with Kuja and Cecil, however, I have a hard time with Tidus and Jecht :/
