Umm... that woman that looks like Helena is actually Sarah Bryant from VF5. Would be good to fix that.

This is really going in a direction I'm liking, for example the fact that they're integrating other fighting games too.
After I saw Akira duke it out in there I immediately thought that with this crossover theme being prominent nowadays (SFxTekken, MvC) a DOA vs Virtua Fighter would definetly be a great game. If you think about it the mechanics in both games aren't that different, apart from DOA having interactive stages rather than generic arenas and advanced counter moves.
I need other peoples input on this...
What do you guys think? Should DOA vs VF be reality?

Thanks for the info, I got into Virtua Fighter about a year ago but the only two characters I had any interest in were Jacky and Akira and I didn't spend much time on the series.

I think DOA vs. VF would be great, really the only thing DOA has over VF was a countering system that was really easy to pull off consistently at all levels of gameplay and that addition would be practically turning VF into DOA. I hope Jacky can somehow get in and show Jann Lee some how to play with Jeet Kune Do (actually would like to see a prerendered fight for that).One way or another I'm really looking forward to this game, only a couple months away.

New character "announced" by Team Ninja on their Facebook page. His name is Rig and he is a Canadian who uses the Taekwondo fighting style.

Also announced by Tecmo Koei is the UK exclusive Collectors Edition containing swimsuits for the entire female cast as a download, art book, soundtrack, and a DOA cast poster. Whether or not there will be other versions of the CE is currently unknown. If you preorder DOA5 you are supposed to get a choice of one of two swimsuit sets, if this is territory locked preorder or not is unknown at this time.

Alrighty, the new guy, as mentioned yesterday, is official. Today Rig was officially unveiled and Bass Armstrong was announced to be present in DOA5. Rig and Bass seem to have a connection with each other, so far it seems as if they are part of a ship maintenance crew, I have no idea. Maybe Team Ninja will finally put some actual story into a console DOA game.

Also looks as if for the first time since DOA2 Hardcore the console game will have English voice acting. Gotta be honest, loved a good number of VA in 2H.

Today Tecmo revealed the Collector Edition "Premium" Swimsuit Costumes for the entire female cast. The link below goes to their facebook album (of currently confirmed characters) and the front page has been updated above the characters reflecting this. Hopefull this will actually be CE only.

Also, release date is now September 28, 2012 for Europe.

If anyone can't still tell, I am absolutely stoked for this. Favorite fighting series ever (barely beats Soul Calibur).
