'Sup guys. Two weeks until DOA 5 is out, getting pumped up.

A brand new character has been announced today. Her name is Mila, she is an MMA fighter that looks to specialize in kickboxing and karate.

Pai from Virtua Fighter has been (finally) confirmed. Supposedly there are to be two/three more characters to be announced this weekend but right now there is no video to post. I'm thinking Gen Fu, Ein, and (please) Leon if Pai doesn't count. Forget Leon if she is because he has no contribution to the DOA story, never really did.

I'm kind of worried about the extensive flashiness and QTE mode when knocking people off stages. It might be a deterrent to competitive play.

Regardless, DoA has always been a favorite of mine and I like how the counter system prevents people from using repetitive combos because there is always that chance the opponent can recover in the middle and counter you... but then you could always counter their counter.... but what if they counter your counter to their counter?

Going back on this now, Power Blows can only be done once every round and when you have 50% or lower health. That and they're not very lengthy, BUT they can be combo'd into after a critical burst.

Counters also seem to be even more tight frame wise, Now moves that give sit-down stun or any time when the characters feet are off the ground (or not directly on the ground) they're no longer able to counter you. Which will definitely make competitive/high-level play more fun to watch.

Omgaw, I'm loving this game so much.
I played a few people online and it's pretty fluid, i really like the options at the end of the match and how it shows what each player picks. (Like Select Char/Controller Settings/Add to Fightlist/Rematch etc..)

Rematches are pretty fast too. (I have the game installed soo)

So far I've been using Mila. <3 (Will probly start using Christie once i get used to the game more)
I did both her and Christie's command training though.

I know I promised pictures but some issues came up (couldn't find my camera, minor truck repair, house fire alarms went off, etc.) and I don't have them yet. Hopefully I can find my camera before I leave for work tonight.

Anyway, I love the game. Looks nice, plays great, and it finally has a story mode that can actually be followed. Finished story some time this morning around 6 (would have been 5 but nooo, I had to get all the titles while I was at it. Goddammit I'm bad at the Izuna) and started getting Command Training out of the way. Gonna get to online play once I sort out my wifi connection and go from there.

Outside of all that I've been checking out Mila and Rig, more time on Mila for obvious reasons. Mila is FAST, her kicks suck but damn she can punch. But...my easy Hitomi 10 hit combo still works so I'm happy with that; I still suck with Bass, Gen Fu, and Eliot (used to be good with Bass and Gen Fu in 2); Brad scares me now; and Helena is still one of my better characters.

Also, so far the Collectors Edition swimsuits are not available outside from the CE product voucher, so it looks like Team Ninja did a good job on that.

And I am willing to buy/trade for an Amazon pre order code (PS3) for the Devil Bunny suits. I'll pay up to $15 (US) or give my product code for Resident Evil: Damnation ultraviolet electronic copy to anyone who can trade.

Not sure if there is at least one more character to unlock but I still have a slot to fill under Bayman... Please be Leon or Ein, I need at least one of my two missing mains to be in the game.
