I did notice there is some form of costume modification in a few of the online matches I played, info in the link below.

Currently talking about/playing (always taking invites): Dead or Alive 5(+), Army of Two: Devil's Cartel, Mass Effect 3, and too many others at once.
I had already mentioned that before, guess you just didn't get what i meant. lol
I understood what you meant. It was just a feature that had never been used in the past for the DOA series, naturally it was a surprise for me to find out that it was implemented.
Think of it like an electric gearbox in modern automatic cars. They are there, they have a small purpose, but really are not necessary to drive the car.

Pretty sure you could "modify" the costumes by holding buttons since DOA3.
Anyway, Akira and Ryu's training can go to hell. CPU Bass and Tina too.

Alright, before I pass out for the "night":
I'm thinking of organizing a DOA5 Tournament for DF members and their friends with PSN gift card/Microsoft Point prizes for the top three places if there is enough interest for either platform (assuming this is a PS3 majority community the default I would set up for would be for PSN gift cards) or something equivalent to that prize if the winners are outside of the NA Region. The more people that want to take place the more I will be willing to make the prizes higher in value as well as for more places. Before I would get my hopes up too much I would need interest from at least 8 people.
The Microsoft Points is kind of out of my area of expertise, XBox in general is, but for there to be an Xbox tourney there would need to be at least 8-16 people interested to make that happen.

Good news for players who do not have a PS3/360 and have a Vita and want to play DOA5, DOA5 Plus has been announced by Yosuke Hayashi and it will be for the Playstation Vita some time early next year along with some new features in an upcoming patch for PS3/360. Video has the announcements, no actual details beyond Plus.

Might give that a go myself. Initially I had no real interest in it, but I've heard that the fighting is actually very good so I might just have to try it out.
