Dead or Alive 5 - I'm a Fighter

Yesterday TN released their latest trailer to the public. Featured in it are outfits and appearance changes for Hitomi, Rig, and Christie. A few things to note are that the stage Lost World from DOA3 is returning, Hitomi has a new combo string and fight opener, Christie can now roll out of her 4P+K, and Rig and Christie now have a Tag Throw.

Also featured is Jacky Bryant and Sarah Bryant from Virtua Fighter fighting against Rig and Christie in a Tag Match.

Of course, being the Ein player I am I don't give a damn about that. The Iron Fist with a Lost Past has a great new look to match his absolutely badass Powerblow.



One important thing to note is that there will be AT LEAST ONE MORE FEMALE CHARACTER to be announced in the future. According to the Japanese Amazon the Japanese Collectors Edition of DOA5U includes a DLC set for 14 female characters. As of the addition of Momiji there are 13 female characters in DOA5U. Speculation is that Rachel or Irene from Ninja Gaiden will show up, Ry from Shenmue, or another Virtua Fighter chick (I would hope for Vanessa).


All in all I now have 4 mains in DOA5U. Leon, Ein, Mila, and Jacky (I main Jacky in the VF series but it will probably be Aoi if anyone).

And finally, YYEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

I'm honestly MORE hyped for 5U than I was for 5+ or even 5.

I haven't been scrounging for every possible new bit of info since the announcement of Soul Calibur 5.

Forgot to mention, the Forest stage from DOA3 is also making a comeback as confirmed on the DOA5U official website.

Would love to see the return of the Demon Church, Pantacratium (I totally forget how it is spelled, lightning everywhere), and all segments of the Dragon Hills.

I'm most hyped over the fact that my two mains are going to be back. The more I watch the reveal trailers and info the sadder I get that Mila is going to be sinking into the third or fourth spot on my play list once I get back into the swing of things with Ein. Leon will always be my main followed by Ein. How Jacky plays in 5U and what kind of upgrades Mila gets will determine who gets the third spot.

BTW, read this. I host lobbies every so often now and plan on holding online tournaments for PSN/Xbox credit. Let me know one way or another if any of you are interested (I can open up to DF members along with FSD members).
