Just here to introduce myself.

So hello, I'm the BADDECODE. And yes, I DECODE BADly.
I've been playing Dissidia ever since I managed to get my hands on it. I even decided to get a PSP for the sole purpose of playing Dissidia.
Now, I haven't had the luxury yet of experiencing true PvP in Duodecim, save for a couple friendlies I had at school.
So I'm eagerly looking for a way to take it online. I have looked into X-link Kai but I find it very limiting as to who you can play against, since you can only play other Kai users. If only I found a free PS3 from somewhere
I also have yet to settle on a good main character for now, and I'm constantly changing it. I have started to get a good grasp of which chars I like and which not.
Just a little question for you guys, how did you come to choose/stick with your main?

I have tried looking at tier lists but those haven't really helped. Right now I have been playing Cloud of Darkness, who is very cool in my opinion.
I was trying to pick a char that I don't see many playing, so I might have the element of surprise
Chars I like at the time of writing include my original Dissidia favorites: Golbez and Bartz.

Cloud of Darkness is awesome for Long Range Particle Beam spam. Stick with her ;3

I chose Garland because he was my favorite story villain, and plus he's a complete badass. His playstyle also appeals to me, which is why I stuck with him.

Hey, welcome. I picked my main ever since the first dissidia, FF7 fanboy right here. But I also love his playstyle for that 4 meter Braver spam in the first Dissidia, and he is so much better in 012. But all characters are good if you use them right. This is of course, if you stick to the AIs

I have a couple of people I call my "mains."

I started playing Gabranth because Final Fantasy XII is my favorite Final Fantasy, and Vaan didn't exactly tickle my fancy gameplay-wise. Gabranth's whole central theme of staying in EX Mode I felt was really interesting. I just tried Prishe randomly and absolutely adored how she played. The amount of different combinations of combos you can do with her Bravery attacks is just stupid (and incredibly fun). I like Ultimecia because her gameplay is so much different than a lot of the characters. Knight's Arrow spam is really fun.

Sephiroth was my choice solely based on the fact that FFVII is my favorite game to date. Cloud doesn't do it for me on this game, and Sephy's a badass anyway, so how could I resist?
Besides Sephy and Tifa, my main party is also comprised of Gabranth and Yuna. I just like their styles very much, and - as for Bartz - I've always been a fan of copy-cat classes in fighting games.
