Because XII and XIII both have "Improved battle systems" and neither of them were entirely well received.

SE should really take what a lot of FF fans say nowadays with a grain of salt.
Nostalgia clouds their logic, and they basically want to hold the company back, from trying new things.

But 13-2 was an improvement from that so they could use that for the next game. Any errors (which i didnt see any) can be fix. Its not like it was a huge difference from 13.

Oh, trust, me, when you actually compare the two...FF13-2 is so surperior.

Sure, they left out the Water Element but the battle menus are so much...Smoother and responsive.

I was hoping for a battle system completely different from the 13 duo. Either that or go back to FF 1-9s battle system. The classics are always the best
