*After a few minutes, Hagane arrives at the Wasteland Castle, bursing through the atmosphere and gliding to the Castle. Landing at the entrance, he sees Kain talking with an unknown young man, but bypasses them and runs to the throne room, where Oswald, Lulu, Vincent, and Quistis are staring at a large monitor showing several Worlds, each cloaked in one of three auras. Worlds taken by Oswald's forces were highlited in gold, neutral worlds were grey, and worlds taken by the Darkness were wreathed in dark purple*

Hagane:Knight Scout Hagane reporting, milord.

*Oswald and the others turn around and see Hagane*

Oswald: 'Bout time you got here. Quistis, give him the rundown.
Quistis:Right. Alright, Hagane, here's the thing. Deep Jungle has been taken. We need you, Lulu, and Kain to go down to Olympus Coliseum and get Jecht, then head there and reclaim it. Any questions?
Hagane:Yeah. Why can't I bring Vincent instead of Kain? Kain's the Gate guardian.
Oswald:Because Vincent is already en route.
Hagane:Alright, I'll head there shortly.
Oswald:One more thing. There should be some kid talking with Kain, I want you to bring him with you.
Hagane:Alright.

*As Hagane turns to leave, Quistis taps him on the shoulder*

Quistis: One last thing...How'd your mission go?
Hagane: Just the one potential wielder at the garden, Miss Trepe. I was about to see if he'd be willing to join us when I got called back.

*Meanwhile, back at the Coliseum, Jecht and Hercules are duking it out again, this time with swords. Hercules' sword is holding up surprisingly well, considering Jecht's weapon isn't so much a sword as a slab of metal with an anhor head for a tip*

Jecht:Heh, you're holding up pretty good there, Herc!
Hercules: One of the perks of demigodhood, I don't tire easily.
Jecht:That's good. I didn't want this ending too early...Hm?

*Jecht parries a blow and looks up to see a small meteor crashing downward towards the arena at an alarming speed*

Jecht:Time out, Herc, gotta take this.

*Jecht effortlessly plants his sword into the ground, then jumps up at the meteor, intercepting it with his famous Jecht Shot, kicking it into the empty benches before touching down*

Jecht:Nothin' to it...Ah?

*Khell sees the rubble that used to be seats 41 through 58 shifting. Moments later, a very large man rises, covered in a black hooded cloak, his reddish-brown hair slicked back rather messily*

???: Ouch...Rough landing.

*The man walks down to the arena and looks at Jecht, then Hercules*

???:Which of you is known as Jecht?
Jecht:That'd be me.
???:I am known as Aeleus. Don't take this personally, but I've been assigned to kill you.
Jecht:You've been assigned to TRY to kill me.
Aeleus:...Right. Now, prepare yourself.

*Before Jecht can even move, Hercules attacks Aeleus from behind, only to have his arm grabbed and get tossed into one of the stone pillars*

[Xernuht]

Kain: Directions, eh? It would do you well to wait a moment, then.
Irving: Eh?
Kain: One of our other knights just returned. Without a doubt, Lord Oswald plans to mobilize a force to reclaim the Deep Jungle. Wait here, and you can get an armed escort, backup until you find Braig, and a datalog with the locations of all of the worlds we know of, in case you need to give chase.
Irving: For someone so unsympathetic to my cause, you're being awfully useful.
Kain: You don't seem to listen to my warnings, so I have no choice but to let you see the error of your ways.

*Hagane and Lulu are walking out of the castle, and Hagane taps Kain on the shoulder*

Hagane:Kain, His Majesty says you're with me, Lulu, and Vincent.
Kain:In what endeavor?
Hagane:You know the Deep Jungle got taken, right?
Kain:Yes.
Hagane:Well, we're heading to get Jecht, and then the five of us are gonna go take it back.
Kain:Very well, I suppose Ricard will have to take over until I return then.

*Kain turns to Irving*

Kain:It seems fortune smiles upon you this day. Follow us if you wish, but know that we will not be responsible for your safety.

[Xernuht]

Irving: Beats sitting around or just winging it and getting stuck in interspace.

Re-angling his glider, he turns to Hagane.

Irving: Hey, you're another Keyblade wielder, right? How do you figure out where to go, anyways?

Hagane:Well, after I visit a World at least once, my Armor's computer automatically logs its location into its memory, and then it's as simple as selecting the location from the menu. Well, if you're coming, I suggest you armor up.

*Hagane reactivates his armor and flies off, with Kain following suit. (Kain's armor is basically a his After Years look with a mouth-guard) Meanwhile, back in the Coliseum, Jecht and Aeleus are going at it. The ring is in ruins, as are the four columns and the stands where Aeleus landed*

Aeleus:You're pretty good.
Jecht:Thanks. Wish I could say the same for you, but...Meh. Your stance is sloppy, your defense has holes bigger than the crater you arrived in, and you'd get much better control of your weapon with a two-handed stance than just one.
Aeleus:Why you...!

*Jecht doesn't give Aeleus time to finish his insult, dashing in front of him and punchin him hard enough to send him flying into the wall above the crater he arrived in. Phil peeks out from the rubble he's hiding behind*

Phil:Jeezabeeza...This Jecht guy's stronger than I'd thought. He keeps this up, he might even surpass Herc in strength...
Jecht:C'mon, big guy. I know that love tap didn't put you down for the count.

*Sure enough, Aeleus gets up and dusts himself off*

Aeleus:Ah, good. I was hoping I'd be able to go all-out!

*Aeleus begins glowing with a dark red aura*

Aeleus:Now...Let's see how you handle me when I have the very earth itself behind my strikes!

*Aeleus raises his weapon, which is now covered in the debris and rubble surrounding the area, growing to something five times its size*

Aeleus:Try to beat THIS!!!

*Aeleus swings his weapon down with all his might...Only for Jecht to block the blow with his armored hand*

Jecht:...Nope. Still not impressed. Though you did make me block with my armored hand, which is a slight improvement.

[Xernuht]

(F**k you, Jecht.)

Irving: Hm?

Armoring up, Irving fiddles around with his helmet and gauntlets, before finding the interface built into his lower right arm. Sure enough, it brought up a menu with an inventory, list of known synthesis results, records of all people he had encountered, and a record of the few worlds Irving had visited.

Irving: Alright then.

Summoning his glider, Irving launches into the sky after Kain and Hagane. As he rises into space, he decides to try something.

Irving: Lock on to the winged Keyblade wielder.

The armor promptly displayed a reticule over Hagane, and a red dotted path that followed the other swordsman's trail into space.

Irving: Alright. Lock onto Braig.

Nothing happened.

Irving: Damn.

Hagane: Don't sweat it, it takes a while to lock on to some signatures than it does others. Now c'mon, or I'll leave you in my dust.

*Hagane flies off. Meanwhile, back at the Coliseum...*

Aeleus:So strong...How'd you get so strong?
Jecht:Excercise and a steady diet of grains, fruits, and veggies, and sports. Now get out before I have to actually try.

[Xernuht]

Irving: Oh really?

Irving pushes his Glider to move faster, steadily keeping up with Hagane and Kain.

Irving: Now, I assume that the ones you called Lulu and Vincent will be joining us at the Coliseum?

Kain:Yes, and then we six shall head to the Deep Jungle and reclaim it...Oh, my apologies, we five. You're only here to take your vengeance on Braig, are you not?
Hagane:Alright, we're arriving. Keep on your toes, newbie.
Kain:You know as well as I do that I have more combat experience than you do, Knight Scout.
Hagane:I was talking to the actual newbie, but you watch yourself too. I don't want to have to tow you back because you broke a hip, old man.
Kain:...

*With a loud blast, Kain shoots past Hagane and Irving, rapidly approaching the atmosphere of the Coliseum.

[Xernuht]

Irving: I'm no newbie. C'mon, Wings, the sooner we get there, the sooner I get Braig.

Irving pushes himself to full speed, tearing after Kain like a golden ray of light.
