    Default Waggle-Wobbly Firaga Overpowered?

    What do you think?

I personally think that it could do without the Guard Stagger, and maybe tone down the homing just a teensy bit.

The move has a bit too much mindgame involved and it causes the player to go way too defensive just to avoid ONE of them (well maybe not defensive, but the player can't really go OFFENSIVE when it's active on the field. Just a bit too risky to attack). Combined with other attacks in Kefka's arsenal almost guarantees that the victim won't leave without a damage free situation. It's just THAT deadly. At least, thats what I've noticed in the tourny

Heres a battle between Funkyman's Kefka, and Rei-N's Firion. (Great battle btw)

Notice at 0:42 where Firion dodges, but still ends up getting caught in it.

its not really overpowered since its one of kefkas only ways of attacking with (a degree) of certantiy, it is counterable, when its small and its pretty much kefkas best way of making mindgames

    I think it's not..
Kefka need to be away from his opp to cast it, because the ammount of time WWB need to come up..

And all of kefka's spell will not work if he doesn't cast it first, so it's balance I think....

Normally I just wait for it to become small and dash it. If I'm close to Kefka I just dash it while he casts it.

A good player wouldn't let Kefka get away from him. Doesn't change the fact the Fire Ball still becomes small after going large for a bit.

But whats easier to do? Running away from someone or chasing them down and hitting them? Omni dash doesn't help much either since it does get random at times

Well, chasing, as you can keep tracking them even if they jump and Omnidash away. Eventually they will have to stop to attack. And during that large start up you should have more then enough time to catch up. There is also the possibility the stage could be small in size also. You could also just dash in the opposite direction out of Firaga's range and attack with your own long range attacks. Such as Ulty's axes, Radiant Swords, Ultima, Light Crest, ect.

Also I would like to add, this is only if you get to the Firaga before he moves behind you, as the spell tends to twist and turn around to hit you from behind so you have some 2 chances of dashing it.

I don't think the recovery time of Firaga is so bad that you'll get hit by any of those range attacks. Small maps like Pandemonium are good for Kefka IMO

Remote Flare and Snatch Blow can destroy Kefka, not sure about other attacks though. Golbez could probably rip Kefka out of the sky with Glare Hand and Radiant Swords homing becomes like, infinitie in large stages like The Rift.
