Synopsis
Hazuki may be near-sighted, but he knows true beauty when he sees it and the delicate form of flower shop owner Rokka draws him in like a bee to honey. So, hoping to cultivate a relationship between them, Hazuki takes a part time job at her shop, only to discover two huge thorns preventing the nurturing of any romance. The first, the fact that Rokka is still grieving for her late husband Shimao, would be enough to snip most men's ardor short, but it's the second that really threatens to make Hazuki's forlorn hopes wilt. Because while Shimao is most definitely deceased, he hasn't yet departed and his spirit is still living in Rokka's apartment! Except only Hazuki can see him, which leads to a very strange romantic triangle indeed. Are Hazuki's chances with Rokka as dead as the man who still lives in her house? Or can he somehow make love blossom even though there's an interloper pushing up the daisies between them?

Normally I wouldn't make a thread for a Josei genre anime but the story is just too good to pass up. Josei genre anime/mangas are basically anime/mangas aimed for older women so you can kind of get the idea of what they have. Romance between adults while keeping the story very realistic and more "down to earth" with some surreal elementsunless it's a fantasy genre. (Well this is kind of how I see it. There's probably much more to the Josei genres than that but it's more or less romance between adults as opposed to Shoujo genres where it's romance between young teenagers) The characters in this anime seem different from what I expect in romance animes. The main protagonist, Hazuki, is straightforward and simple. Neither poor nor rich. Neither handsome nor ugly. He's very simple but he has charisma as a character. The main heroine, Rokka, is a woman who can't let go of her dead husband and still retains a cheerful, sort of tomboyish (?) attitude. The antagonist, Shimao, is an extremely childish ghost who also cannot let go his wife despite knowing he is dead. If you watched Sakamichi No Apollon, I'm definitely sure you will enjoy this.

Rokka can be a bit too unpredictable for my tastes, but it's a good show nonetheless. Hazuki looks like a goon and the dead husband can be immature at times.
So Shimao has telekinetic powers now? Okay, I guess! ^_^
Hazuki'spersistence"tenacity" is hilarious
And lol at the ending
What's Shimao gonna do nao? :3
Shimao is so childish it kinda pisses me off...
And lol chibiRokka
EDIT: I finally found a vid of the ending that isn't muted for copyright

Ep 6
Lol Shimao is so cruel to his own wife but I can see why he's doing it
Also
Oh shit. What's he gonna do now?
Ep 7
As much as I dislike Shimao, I love his monologues
Ep 10
Oooooh boy the big secret is revealed
And Rokka was being a bit....too accepting when she found out that it was him .-.
And again...Shimao being very childish
Well...
The anime ended and I thought it was a good ending
Hiding his true intentions and taking the role of the bad guy
...Well played Shimao....well fucking played
i stopped near ep 7 I think, wanted to wait until it was the last episode to wait and watch them all hopefully near december. I still have high hopes for hazuki, and his adventure through I think shimaos mind or dream world. it'll be a cold day and heck. before those two get back together again (meaning dead husband and rokka) leave the past where it belongs.
You became a l'Cie, so now you're gonna marry this idiot? And you think I'm gonna buy that? Full points for originality. But, don't forget. If you really are a l'Cie, it's my job to deal with you.
